Direct edit of HTML in Journals/Handouts

Is there a way to possibly add the ability to direct edit the HTML in things like DM notes and the Description section of handouts? There are several features available over at PFSRD that allow for the auto-linking of text I've written directly to the SRD content - but the output is HTML. It's literally just <a href> tags - so being able to edit those directly in the HTML on the Handouts would REALLY be a time saver! Something similar to the way Wordpress does it, maybe? There's just a toggle to switch back and forth between the editor and the raw HTML. Thanks!

I would probably recommend giving access to Markdown or Textile markup rather than doing raw HTML; both markup languages are simple and have widespread support (particularly Markdown). It'd also be nice to support a subset of Markdown in the chat, but that's a secondary benefit.
