European users?

Hello everyone, Am i the first European user? lol I was guided to this website via a facebook post made by "dungeons & Dragons memes" in this post it was mentioned someone projected his Dnd map on a table, and this was possible because of Roll20. So I ended up here and was actually looking for something like this. Me and a couple of friends started playing Dnd 5e, I'm the DM. We are using the 5e starterset "Mines of Phandelver" for the first mission (the Cragmaw hideout) i used several A3-printed pieces of the map to guide the players in the story. For the second mission I drew the (Redband hideout) in 3D with sketchup so the player would experience something different and as the adventure continues I could change things (add traps and stuff). But the things roll20 has to offer got my attention (still have to make a campaign see what is possible and what's not). But I got the impression Roll20 has got alot to offer. The playing online thingie is something that caught my eye but it will probably not be possible with players from a different timezone (US). So are there any European users/players? Be kind/don't flame :D

Hi Kaidreas and welcome to Roll20. We have a rich world-wide base of players/languages here at Roll20 (UK based myself). Everything you have mentioned is possible to replicate with Roll20 and then so much more, people have used the system to aid their face-to-face games as well as play online. Some use them to run simple line drawn map games, text only games, highly detailed computer game like games and for every conceivable games system available. Want to play at being a superhero, sure. Interested in manga style gaming, why not. A D&D purist... well that's just peachy. I would highly recommend spending the time to look around the forums (the ' new to Roll20 ' thread has some really useful posts to get you started). Then check out the wiki to start getting to grips with the mechanics. Most of all, have fun :)
I run two games here with players from all over the US, UK, Finland, & Australia, at the same time. People have different life styles you will find there are games 24/7 on Roll 20 with players literally everywhere. I don't think there are any gamers on the I.S.S. as of this time, but I have spoken to someone who is training to go there and plays D&D, my goal is to get her involved in a game from the space station.

I've had three Scandinavians in my currently-ongoing 4e game. =)

Ooh! I want to play in that game! :) I agree with al e. I'm an American, living in Latvia, and playing with guys from the US, UK, and Australia as well (so far, no one from Finland...), so people can be found. Welcome!
As a european myself, there might be a few less of us but that doesn't mean it's impossible for us to play. Some of the less "huge" game systems like for example shadowrun can be hard to find got somebody in out timezone, but right now i play in about 3 campaigns, each with people from both sides of the atlantic ocean.

I am in Europe. (Croatia) My Mazes & Minotaurs campaign is currently all Europeans. (Even though the date and time are set to allow Western hemispherians to play) My AD&D campaign often attracts Americans. (Even though I make no effort to pick a time that would be easy for them to play)
Scottish/European here! There are a lot more US/AUS based games on the looking for group than EU thats for sure but we are here!!
