So I've decided to make a post that gives a sort of update on what I've been doing as an artist to contribute to the marketplace, both for the sake of organizing my own thoughts as well as to provide the community at large the opportunity to provide feedback if they wish as well as to get sneak peeks at what's in the works on my end. Progress: 50% Battle Hexes 15% Modern Room Builder 10% Museum of Forbidden Arts 5% Deep Dungeon Hexes 0% Token Miniatures - Elves This week I managed to finish off the Orcish Hordes token set and it has now gone live on the marketplace. It's a sister set to the Fantasy Humans tokens. The intent of course is to expand upon this style of tokens so that GMs can craft combat encounters with monsters and friendlies all in the same style. So this set adds Orcs to the mix. I hope to be doing Elves as the next set in the Token Miniature series but I've yet to break ground on that one. I'd also like to do a modern set but I'm still a little ways out on that. The set I'm most heavily focused on at the moment is a hex terrain set both for folks that like Hex Maps but also for folks that are interested in doing battle tech oriented games. I think the set is going to get broken down in to several. The first will cover the basic grass, dirt, and water terrains along with a selection of labels that can be overlaid to indicate elevations and a few simple mech tokens to help GMs get games up and running quickly. If it's popular then I'll draw up a second set that introduces additional terrains and buildings such as swamps, lava, and forests. The other two sets I'm casually adding to are a modern room builder which has been requested several times on the forums here and a Lovecraft themed museum set. The biggest challenge I'm facing in those is creating "walls" that I find attractive, especially since the museum set needs to be able to display portraits and I want to be able to provide modern rooms sets with the ability to clearly display different types of windows, doors, bookshelves, etc... I'm not sure what the artist equivalent of writer's block is but that's sort of what I got with the walls at the moment.

I made a push on the work and got the Battle Hexes completed in time for this week's releases. The new Battle Terrains: Basic Tech can now be found on the marketplace. Depending on how well it does I may devote more time to creating expansion sets to add in other terrain types, buildings, forests, additional mecha, etc...
Wanted to jump in here and say if you're a subscriber, Phillip did the most recent Orr Group Podcast and it's a pretty awesome inside look at his creation process: https://app.roll20.net/account/podcast The interview will be available next Wednesday to all users at this location: https://soundcloud.com/roll20
