Invites sent

Congratulations! So far everything is on par to start next Saturday. Here's a few things I would like to see done before we start: Send me your obsidianportal name and/or email address. Yes, again, please - everyone's posts got lost in the insanity of apps back there and it'd be infinitely easier if everyone just resent it to me. You can give to me via a reply post here or via a PM. Whichever is clever. Accept the Obsidian Portal invite that will be sent to you. Start a new thread, here titled "[Your name] - [Your character's Name] Pitch" It isn't really a pitch. Just throw down your basic character concept. I'll give feedback on it, and it'd be awesome if the rest of the players did so, also. I'll make sure everything you want is going to work with the campaign in mind and I'll try to work with you on the thing(s) that doesn't. After you have your character idea started, create a token using TokenTool (link opens the app). Use one of the circular frames, please. Send that token to me so I can add your character to the Roll20 campaign. Create your character using these guidelines . The big thing: Do not roll dice for ability scores . Go over to the Obsidian Portal site for our campaign (you already accepted the invite, didn't you?) and create a new character for you - using the 5e character sheet there, enter your character information, including biography and background you worked on in step 3.

I'm not sure I'm using TokenTools right. For some reason my edges extend out past the border. Where do we send the token to?
Good question. Drop them in your pitch threads using the imbed image function.
Done.
After thought: We should have full images for the characters, too.
In that case give me some time. The token picture is just a portait, so I'll probably change it to the full image one.
FYI. It appears OP is having some hardware issues with their server. They're currently working on it. They're asking for a little patience.
Yeah, I know...I was almost done with my character sheet when the page crashed... -_-
Okay, images are in my pitch thread and charcter sheet done on OP. Boom.
Dropping mics already? :-D
username: mblinders email: <a href="mailto:mblinders@gmail.com" rel="nofollow">mblinders@gmail.com</a> I'm going to build cleric background using the PHB tables then flesh it out. Will post soon
*sigh* wish I had known that before deciding on a cleric myself......

Hmmm I posted my intent to play in the recruitment thread but can play something else? I don't care. I'll look and see what everyone is pitching, I havent checked
So far we have a paladin, a sorcerer, 2 rangers and 2 clerics. :D
So much Variety!
Can someone tell me how to use/launch TokenTool? I'm quite new to the Roll20 interface.
There are some like 2 min YouTube videos that explain it. Basically just drag a picture into the window, center it on the circle, drag it from the top right onto your desktop.

I'm not sure 2 clerics is necessarily a good thing. A rogue or a frontline fighter or barb though? What do you all think. I'm kinda new so I will defer to the wisdom of others :) Also, I should change my name on here. Everyone else has actual, you know, names

To Paula: You just have to click on the link that Jack put up above, then it should launch the application. Once it's started you'll see a window with a black backround and a green ring in the center. What you'll want to do with that, is drag the unopened picture you want to use for your character into the black backround. If the Photo pops up in the window, then all you'll have to do is mess with the zoom function and drag the face of your character into the center of the ring. Once you've done that, you're practically done. If you want, you can change the ring's design with the list of rings. I think I covered everything, if you need anymore help just ask.
@Paula: There's two ways to do it. Method 1: Open TokenTool Drag an image from your desktop onto TokenTool Center as desired (using the mouse wheel will zoom in/out) Save. Method 2: Open TokenTool Open the image you want to use (if, for example, it's from a .pdf) Go to Tool -&gt; Screen Capture Select the image using the cropping tool. Center as desired. Save.

I typically do prefer a variety, but far be it from me to tell anyone to play something else. My paladin is gonna be front line. But another might not hurt.
/ninja'd.

I am a cleric of life, so healing is covered, so you could still play a cleric that is more offensively minded. But if you really dont think 2 clerics is a good idea(it is really quite neutral actually, I just like being different :P) we could either use another frontline fighter(assuming both rangers go bow instead of two weapon) or a supporter such as a rogue or bard. my two cents on the matter. oh, and dont let the superficial stuff scare you off, bards are SUPER awesome.

Rangers can be at vangaurd with the pally as well as one of the clerics and one of the others can join me in the reargaurd, i need a meathshie- i mean body gaurd.
oh, and dont let the superficial stuff scare you off, bards are SUPER awesome. Especially when they play the spoons and shout dirty limericks.
Wow, this is gonna be a group that hates undead.
What no way i love the undead theyre so patient and great listeners
I'm now getting the urge to make my preferred enemy undead.
I have no problem being a different char if you want to be a cleric, RNCO. Just gotta make sure Jack is cool with it
Okay, it is official, harlan will be no more. There shall be another char in his place momentarily
Quick, resurrect yourself cleric! :P

Obsidian Portal Username: rreno68 <a href="mailto:rreno68@gmail.com" rel="nofollow">rreno68@gmail.com</a> I'm probably going to be playing the Rogue... Either an Elf, Half-Elf or Drow...
Noooo you didn't have to do that! I would have played a bard or fighter!
I dont mind. Really. It is not a big deal. Play what you want.
Guys...what if...an entire party of rangers. Whoa.
No. just no. For the love of god, no
Imagine it. We all pick a different favored enemy. We'd be unstoppable.
if all we did was fight things that did not have strong magic and such. and what about out of combat. *shakes head and walks away*
We're rangers. We just scowl and brood.
Uhhh, no. We'd be the Power Rangers obviously! I call Black Ranger!
Dibs on white ranger. Duh.
