I call Green Ranger!
Green cleric, reporting for duty
Jack P. said: @Paula: There's two ways to do it. Method 1: Method 2: Method 3: Fail to make it work like me! I honestly have tried, not working at all...
U've all missed the obvious I call Red Ranger which means im the leader
I submit to no authority
Richard W. said: U've all missed the obvious I call Red Ranger which means im the leader Except the White Ranger is the leader. GG
Never in any installment of the power rangers has white led. I dare you to tell me one and show me where all the white ranger is in the power rangers special where all teh leaders gather who were all coincedentally red rangers.
*rolls eyes at ranger talk* @Those having trouble with TokenTool: I understand. TokenTool is the only app I know that does what it does. But it's probably an issue with your Java configuration. For the record, this is reason #1 I'm moving away from MapTool for online gaming. Freaking hate Java. Go ahead and just get a full image for your character, I'll make the token for you.
My mistake. The white ranger is just the badass outsider who comes in to clean shit up.

Exactly right. And blue ranger is usually black and second in command.
There were so many stereotypes in that show it was just stupid.
Hey guys, I tried getting the TokenTool to work but whenever I click on the link it downloads a .jnlp file. I figured I didn't have Java and proceeded to install it, but always gives me an error no matter how many times I restart my computer. Is there any other way to get my token done?
I can do it for you, Paula. Just put your full image on your post. I'm not aware of any other tool that does it.
Jack, if it would be a spoiler, feel free to keep it a mystery... but I was wondering if our character would know each other before the adventure starts the Saturday night or will we be meeting for the first time then?? Either way is fine by me, was just curious... the first option does allow things to get moving quicker but cuts out some of the "hi, nice to meet you" action...
I was thinking this ... Let me know what you think. I'll be giving most of you a bit of background that'll be bringing you to Red Larch. Some of you have built-in hooks, so I'll try to work with those. Each of you traveled to Waterdeep on your own accord. From there, you met up with a merchant taking a caravan to Red Larch, you each decided to travel with the merchant, taking a few gold pieces to work as a caravan guard. You've been traveling for about a tenday together, so if your characters didn't know each before hand, they've had plenty of time to chat and gossip with each other. Our opening vignette will be the scene that's currently showing on the campaign. Anything you need to roleplay out can be taken care of there. We'll get a little action in (I'm sure it's not a surprise,) then we'll move on to Red Larch.

It's not on the map but my character Aehrlon's village of Brandyllwyne would be in the western edge of the High Forest. He likely was in Waterdeep on an errand for the Harpers and took on the caravan duty to be of use but also because his superiors in the faction asked him to go to Red Larch & look in on the strange happenings & odd reports out of the town (and report any notable information to their agent in town). So, yes, Jack, sounds very good to me! The others in the company would notice some things about Aehrlon on the journey. For one, he is one of the more handsome elves they've seen, though he is not vain. No surprise, he's also very agile and is very skilled with his long bow. He's also made himself of use fixing arrows for others in the company with his bowyer/fletcher artisan's tools. Being highly vigilant he usually says little on the road but is friendly enough in camp. He seems to enjoy the company of the Rangers in the group in particular as he has much in common with them... he has spent many years as a scout and on border patrols in the High Forest. He would exchange stories with his new found friends and ask about theirs, making sure to pay attention. When Derwin asked about the shiny medallion with the the unicorn head carved into it that he wears under his tunic (which slipped out one day) he would tell Derwin that it's a token of his faith and also a medal for service to his town. He became a bit of a hero a few years back leading a force of elves, half-elves and men against agent of a tyrant that had taken over the neighboring village of Benton's Hollow. Those servants of the Cult of the Dragon were driven off, some being captured and slain. Their leader sadly escaped and is still at large...

Hopefully be able to troubleshoot video issues with someone before hand sometime
Same here. Want to get video/audio issues out of the way before we start the actual campaign.

From my little oops the other day, I know that I can be heard and seen just fine....
Sweet! Jack, have you settled on a media interface to use for Saturday, Skype or Google Hangouts or something else. The Roll20 interface does work using a Skype-ish engine but almost everyone I know has had issues with it (and uses something else). I'm good with whatever.
He was playing with hangouts a little whilst testing our audio accompaniment but having some audio trouble

That's right; I mentioned it to him & that I use it with another Roll20 (List Mines of Phandelver) group. Whenever any of us had issues we'd first make sure that we went into Control Panel/Hardware & Sounds/Sounds. Under Sounds , make sure that your correct device is selected (i.e. whether you're using wireless headphones/mic like I am, your computer speakers, or whatever). Once done & Applied you have to do the same thing under the setting in Google Hangouts via the little Gear Icon at the top of the page... and usually only once because it typically remembers your settings. It's probably a good habit to check each time we play to make sure it's configured correctly. Hope this helps!
A test should be in order. I wasn't having any real A/V trouble - it's the jukebox I was having trouble with. Some of the tracks just didn't play on my end. Couldn't figure it out. I'm not new to either G+ Hangouts or Skype. Been around the block a couple times with both of them. For the time being, I'm going to just stick with the Roll20 interface. If it causes problems, we'll move on to something else.
If R20 does not work out, my vote is on Skype. Google hangouts and I dont seem to get along.
Skype and I don't seem to get along. :-/ Especially, it seems, after it was commandeered my Microsoft. We'll see how it goes.
Well, my audio is ok on Roll20 but video doesnt work. I'll try to fix it when I have more time tomorrow or friday, I've never used this camera before

...On a related note I should be available tomorrow after 7 PST if you need someone to test your equipment with. I'll try to stay logged in from 7ish to 10ish. ^^^ Above note for anyone who wants to pop in, not just Mike.
I'll poke my head in during that stretch of time, hopefully a reboot will fix some stuff.
So, the audio part of my computer is GG. Something to do with the hard drive or something like that. I wont have it fixed in time for this weekend. I'll see if I can use my phone for the audio/video portion of Roll20, but I have my doubts. My vote would also be for skype because I use it on my phone pretty consistantly.
(Next weekend it shoudl eb fine. We'll see)
... can you conference call with Skype on your phone?
Just in case we have to use it... My Skype name is jackpalmer1216.
