Hello folks! The dungeon delvers roleplaying group is recruiting (apply via the link below). We are a group of role players who take turns running short campaigns. Being willing to GM at some point us a must. We aim for group stability and community building. You should also be willing to play both pathfinder and D&D 5e. link to apply here
Still looking. Come apply there is cake I swear!
Your post says Wed at 10pm EST, but if I follow the link it says next game is July 3 at 9:45am? I'm confused. Also, would you mind providing a bit more info? How many people in the group? How long do typical mini-campaigns go? How is the next GM chosen (campaign ideas pitched? whoever is willing?). Do all players take turns GM'ing or do you have some who are players only? (I'm happy to GM, but having a group of all-fellow GM's strikes me as better, vs having a few free-loading people who are players only). Finally, do GM's get to set the rules for their individual campaigns? I'm comfortable with both Pathfinder and 5E, but if I was GM'ing Pathfinder I'd probably restrict it to CRB and APG only (minus summoner). When playing I'd go along with whatever rules a GM sets of course. I find the idea interesting, but it seems like an idea that is difficult to pull off successfully without a lot of reasonableness and maturity on the part of all the players (much like a commune or any other super-socialist endeavor).

I will be glad to answer your questions. 1. First the time discrepancy might just because my friend forgot to update the time from the last time he recruited. In reality we really start playing around 10pm EST. 2. Right now we have 4 people and are looking to get two more, for a ratio of 1 DM to 5 players. 3. Generally we start by asking if anyone wants to GM and here out the offers. If there is more than one offer we as a group vote on the one we like the best. If no one offers then one of the players who has not run before must go. 4. We are all expected to GM at some point, though we do tend to be a little merciful to first time GM's in our expectations of them. We might get them to just do a one to two session campaign there first time around) 5. GM's get to make there campaign they way they want. While generally wise to consult the players to some degree, at the end of the day the GM is the one doing to work running so they get the pleasure of calling the shots. 6. Your free to restrict any material you wish as the GM for the reason listed above. Heck you could even offer to use a system other than the two listed do long as you give the players the means and time to learn it. I have run several groups like this in the past (though this group was start by another one of the players), and they can work once you get the right players. This group has sadly had some attrition due to people's real life. But once you get a group like this stable you will find that it produces a much better longer term online roleplaying experience than just joinning some random online game that dies two months in because the GM can't run any more.
Hello, are the campaigns fresh starts with a new gm or do you guys reuse characters?
in most cases fresh starts. Though if the GMs want to arrange it so there campaigns trade of characters then it can be done.
