A year is an orbit oIt is called such because it is the time it
takes to move around the portal to Krons heavens made blinding by Idy to shun
the prying eyes of evil and unworthy mortals. There are five days a week oFirstsday oNeksday oKronsday oAbbadsday oLastsday There are six weeks a month (30 days) There are ten months. There year begins in spring at the end of
winter. Seasons progress normally oSpring = season of planting and life oSummer = season of heat and growth oFall = season of harvest and feast oWinter = season of fucking cold and death Holidays and annual events oThere are a lot and races or nations may
celebrate different ones but there are some major ones everyone knows about. §Edranox: The ritualistic casting of large fire
based spells into the sky at night to celebrate the new orbit, celebrated by
all and particularly by gnomes. Occurs the first day of orbit. §Kron’Ut’Seg: Tax, tithe, and census day on the entire
southern continents as organized and divinely enforced by the churches of Kron
and Seg. The taxes go to the respective nations, the tithes go to the church
you worship, and the census keeps track of population. Occurs at the middle of
Orbit. §Fall Feast: The consumption of large amounts of
food, meats, alcohol and the giving of gifts to celebrate the harvest and to
ward of the spirits of famine in the coming winter months. Occurs at the end of
harvest month. §Blood Moon: Not a celebration but a fight for
survival each year. The beasts of the world for a full day or more are driven
to blood lust, against all living creatures. Cities close their gates and
farmers move to the cellars while the world turns to chaos. Some embrace it and
go into the wilderness to hunt or to observe rarely seen species most simply
try to survive. Those who openly embrace the blood moon are seen as freaks and
if found out are hunted down and killed. Occurs when the Tal’Kra (Orc for Red moon)
eclipses the Dul’Kra (Green moon). §Kingsday: The kingdoms of humans celebrate their
nobility, who throw tournaments, feasts, and parades for their citizenry.
Occurs during the last of summer.
