Please consider creating a Looking for Group listing first. The LFG system has several advantages over the forums including the ability to search by game, audio/visual preference, language, keywords, day, frequency, and approximate starting time. Before posting on this forum, please take a moment to review the Roll20 Code of Conduct and the Play Nice Clauses from our Terms of Service , two items you agreed to follow when you signed up for our site. Consider the following information from the Roll20 CoC before you create your LFG post. We hold a high standard for discussion in the community areas of our site. In reviewing our Common Courtesy section of the CoC, you’ll learn that we expect and enforce a tone of respect from all LFG requests and discussions on the Roll20 forums. There will be no tolerance for person-based attacks or passed judgments in your posts (be it on issues ranging from gameplay to lifestyles). From our Civil Discussion section, you should understand that all posts should be centered around adding to our community in an intelligent manner and we will not allow trolling, whining, passive aggression, reliance on memes, spamming, irritating repetition (including topic duplication), intentionally unclear or misleading posts, and while these areas are intended for adults, clearly explicit content is prohibited. A note on inclusivity... All LFG posts should be in the spirit of, "our group is open to players of all genders". While we can appreciate your desire for inclusion, specifically targeting as such ends up being an issue of tokenization-- looking to fill a spot with an arbitrary token of a person, instead of truly being open. 18+ Games: LFG forum posts & LFG Tool listings for 18+ games must be labelled as such and the content of the post should be PG-13 in nature, content that breaks our CoC or ToS will be removed. All GMs & players must consent to the game. After reviewing the Code of Conduct and Terms of Service, please utilize the following guidelines for your LFG post. Your Post Title: Who (GM or player), System, Date, Time, Timezone Examples: LFP (Looking for Players) D&D 4E - June 15th, 2015 @ 7pm PT LFG (Looking for Game) Dungeon World - Tues & Weds after 8pm PT Your Post Body: Expand on the Title information and give greater insight into your GM style and preferred way to play, making sure to adhere to the Code of Conduct . It is recommended that you DO NOT share your player invite link in this public forum. Bumping posts is discouraged on the forums and should be avoided, this falls under the “irritating repetition” mentioned in the Civil Discussion section of the CoC. To gain more exposure, try using the Looking for Group listings. Looking for a game in this forum? Please only reply in LFG threads that you are actually interested in joining. Comments that do not reflect the original poster's request are considered “off-topic” and against the CoC. The Looking for Group forum is for games playing on Roll20 only. Any post advertising for games or groups outside of Roll20 will be removed. Paid GMing from the CoC Links to Patreon (or other Patreon-like sites) are only permitted for pre-approved community members who are contributing either Character Sheets or API Scripts. If you wish to solicit your players directly for funding you may do so privately, but no such links are permitted in a public forum. For the time being, paid Game Mastering is allowed without prior approval, if the Game Master posts the following disclaimer: “This game will be require payment for my time as a Game Master at a rate of (to be filled with your rates). Be advised that payment will occur off site via (method of payment; be advised that no outside link to a service such as Patreon is allowed here) and cannot be enforced by the Roll20 staff.” Please only create threads for upcoming games in Roll20. Similar to our Looking for Group tool, please only advertise for games up to 3 months in advance.
