Looking for help with the CoNTINUUM sheet

Hi folks, My CoNTINUUM group uses the Roll20 sheet we had made at least once a week. However it has a major issue preventing us from using it for its core function. So for now we only use it for dice rolls. Also, I'm hoping to add a little functionality to it that is not currently in the sheet First off, the bug. The core part of CoNTINUUM is the time travelling. This normally requires a lot of book keeping on the part of the players. To track all that in one place, we have a section of the sheet called the "Span Log". Unfortunately, something about the way the sheet was coded means that it has a strange behavior that makes the Span Log unusable. Each time you add or change any value in the Span Log, it fully recalculates the entire span log. This means that once you've made about a dozen entries or so, the log slows to such a pace that it takes more than 5 seconds between one click and the next. If you make 20+ entries, this slows to 10 seconds or more. Essentially it's just usable. So I'm really hoping there's a person out there who might be able to take a look at the sheet and see what the problem is, maybe fix it. I'm not sure what the protocol is on this, but I'm happy to trade art, or trade on my long-standing as a supporting member. Finally, there's the features I'm hoping to add. 1 is I'd like a space for a new character feature... Goals. I'm taking a leaf from White Wolf and adding a goal-oriented Role Playing tool based around Willpower Points. So I need a way for players to document their character's goals and the value of those goals (a number from 1 to 5). This value or values then becomes the total Willpower points they have access to. They can spend these to boost their rolls or make them a little faster in combat. If there's anyone out there who might see their way clear to at least telling me if I'm dreaming, let me know. Thanks.

Tuck - I can't really help (haven't even had time to make changes the sheet I actively own in for over a month now), but at least wanted to let you know that you aren't dreaming...everything you talk about sounds like it should be doable. I'm not familiar with CoNTINUUM, but it I'm not seeing anything really wonky with your request. The autocalc'd pit for the Span Log...I'd have to know how that works before I could tell you if it's fixable, but, again, I don't know why it wouldn't be...
Hey GV, thanks. I'm afraid I know nothing about the code used to build the sheet. All I can tell you is what I wrote above. It's not really functional. If you do find yourself with the time to have a look, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks again.
I can absolutely add a spot for the goals/willpower if you send me a mockup of how you want it to look. That wont take long at all. For the span log, the only thing I have come up with would be a breaking change, but it might be worth it, I just worry that if someone else is using the sheet, they might get upset by the changes. The change I came up with is to only have 1 span calculate, and provide a sheet button that provides the relevant info(span used/remaining, and destination date/time as output to the chat. Then you could copy paste from the chat into a repeating section that doesn't have any calculations, just text fields. The span calculation field would be below the span log, so it would always be next to where you would be adding the info, but you would have to manually input the departing date/time, the arriving date/time, and the starting span value to get the span used/remaining and the arrival date/time to chat.
Hi Roger, how you been? That would be great. I need a bit to understand your proposal for Spanning better, but adding a Goals / Willpower bit would be great. The only problem is that it's not cannon... these are house rules. Is it possible to spin off a variant sheet?
I have been doing pretty well. If you want to upgrade to mentor we can absolutely do a custom sheet, but adding a second version to the repository just to add a house rules element would probably not be accepted if I had to guess. And I guess we shouldn't add a house rules element to the primary sheet either... As for the changes I was thinking of, imagine you only had the first entry from a new span block. You enter in all the info(direction, starting age, previous span spent, departing, arriving, time level) then you click a button and it outputs to chat the new span spent, span remaining, age, departing, arriving, all that information in a format you just copy and paste to text fields. Each time you span, you have to change all the information, but it still gives you a way to check your math, and a way to keep the records straight.
Ok, cool. No variant sheet. And you're right, we don't want to add house rules to a cannon sheet. I'm actually playing it now, but afterwards I'll study your explanation.
I've read your Span proposal, and I think it's a valid compromise. Let's try that. Thanks.
