[LFP] 5e Seafaring Sandboxy Campaign - Thursday Evenings EST

Looking for 3 players (already have 1) for a seafaring sandboxy campaign. Party will be captain and crew of a sailing ship on the Maddening Sea (a homebrew world) traveling between various inhabited islands, taking whatever jobs or quests that you find, dictate or take; trying to get by, survive and avoid going insane. A lot of RP and some rather brutal combat. Based in 5e with a number of variant rules pulled from the DMG, Unearthed Arcana and some homebrew. Including firearms, Sanity stat, slowed healing and some Unearthed Arcana races and archetypes. The campaign will have a decent amount of player input. I'm willing to take ideas for islands, cultures, organizations, quests, etc. Game will be weekly on Thursday evenings likely starting 7:30 EST. Starting this week if we can get it together in time. If interested or have questions leave a comment.
I'd like to join! :) My character can be a burglar who was forced to flee the land after almost being captured. She decides to take to the sea and continue her roguish lifestyle as a pirate.
Sounds very interesting! i'd love to give it a shot.
You may have just got your final player.
Welcome aboard mates, as the pre-existing player in this campaign and and as a friend to Sean for nearly a year, I can attest to the fact that he is a fun, fair, and friendly DM who loves a good challenge. I have a feeling that we are all gonna enjoy ourselves on this high-seas adventure.
If a spot opens up, my username is LoneTophat on Skype. You may contact me with any questions or concerns. I'm a long time player of all things pen and paper, primarily focused on character development and interaction. The idea of a campaign themed around the sea is appealing.
If you are taking applications, and not simply taking the 1st 3 that apply.... I am interested. I am 47, disabled, father of 2 with plenty of time on his hands. I have played Rpg's since I was introduced to 1st edition AD&D around 1978, and enjoy campaigns that are a goodlength, and have a good amount of roleplay. I can make the time listed, am very reliable, and enjoy working with a group to accomplish goals and fill a needed role. Since you are using unearthed arcana , possibly play a warforged. As for class, i'd like to know if the group needs a role filled. If you would like to speak to me more, please contact me on skype @ wandarer1968 Hope to hear from you soon :)

Hey there! Saw your ad and wanted to put my application in if the roster hasn't filled up already. Name is Jason and I just turned 31. I have been playing on Roll20 and table top RPGs for little over a year now. Mostly I have stuck with Pathfinder, running my own game Wednesdays, but I have dabbled in a bit of 4e. and most recently I am in a 5e. game on Fridays. I like a good balance between RP and combat, and I have been itching for a pirate/sailing game. Though I do have a character I would like to use for this, I tend to rather wait until meeting the group so we can develop a team together and I can create a character that will function better with the group. I am slightly new to 5e. so a lot of the rule variants are still new to me and I haven't delved much away from the core rule book so I might need a little patience in that department. You mention tossing in your own house rules so I hope to learn more about those. If you want to get in contact with me, feel free to send a message on Roll20 and I will send you back my Skype name. Hope to hear from you soon!
