Correction: As an Artificer, you need to actually show up for games, and then purposefully sit out of them, using game time to craft the item. You can't just make anything willy-nilly. Under Rule #2 of the "Rules on Items!" thread: Logistics: If you want to use the ritual to make an item for yourself or
another person, you have to show up at the beginning of a session, say
"I am going to make [this item] for [this character]," and then you must
sit that session out, since you will be using your in-game time to
craft the item in the guild hall. The person for whom you are crafting
it cannot use that item until the next session he/she plays. ...But yeah, about character traits, you can put them on your own sheet and make that part of your personality, that's totally fine. But I don't see it as something you can get XP from, since it's something that actually happened to you. Like, Tawny hates Boggles too. If she ever sees one again, she is going to immediately flip her shit and go for the throat. Maybe a DM would reward Roleplay XP for it, but it's kind of a rare deal.
