I'm having some trouble with some of the marketplace maps and editing them off line and then re-uploading them as a completed map. Specifically the titled maps such as dungeon Tiles and the Village to Pillage sets. The problem that I am running into is that when I try to import them to editing programs such as gimp the size of the individual tiles is absolutely massive. And once I add more than one or two the size of the file (both in physical dimensions and in local memory size) becomes equally massive. I was wondering if anyone else had this issue and had found ways to solve this--or tricks to deal with it. I would like to be able to make complete dungeon or encounter maps so I can print them out and have a hard copy to refer to while I'm running a campaign. Especially since there isnt a way to export a map that you've made ingame to an image (short of a screenshot which is a hassle). ------ No copyright infringement is meant or intended. Just want to have these maps for my own reference.

You might try something like Tiled , which will allow you to treat them as a tile rather than an image, or scale them all down to a smaller size to use with The GIMP. Your question is probably better asked on a forum dedicated to map making, such as Campaign Cartographer.
