This game has been rolling along for about a year now. Its pretty standard mechanically. A few small rule changes. The story is pretty epic, and has quite a history after a years time. The party has a pretty solid core, but someone is on hiatus and I'd like to add a couple more. We play every wednesday at noon AZ mountain time, and sometimes sneak in an extra session during the week if it stops at an awkward point. This time fseems to fit well with Europeans. You'd be rolling up a LVL 10 char. I have an incredibly low tolerance for players that "don't fit."So please read the following and understand the nature of this game before responding. -25 or older. Sorry, it's not like I dont think younger people can be mature. I just need some maturity desperately right now. I'm in a number of games with youngins and i've got enough of that in my RP life. - No power gamers. If you throw off the balance of the game, I have to up the encounters, which will often result in a TPK. No one wants that. But if the fights arent challenging, there is no risk, no real reward, and no fun IMO. So I really like to try to keep it as simple as possible when it comes to balance and that means not factoring in min/maxing power gaming characters. If you've read a pf guide, dont apply, this is NOT the game for you. That being said -core classes only. For your first character. If we are a good match, we can talk about giving your next char something more complex. I have a player that plays all sorts of nonsense, but because I know he will always prioritize RP over power. so -Prioritize RP. This game has about a 50/50 RP/combat split. Maybe a bit more RP, but thats the important thing. We can go through several sessions without combat, or if we're in a dungeon, it could be 3 sessions of nonstop combat. IF you cant build a character with its own personality and play it properly, this is not the game for you. Lazy RPers will not fit. - Have a voice, know when to let others talk. We have some strong personalities in this game. You have to be able to have your voice heard. I try very hard to be aware when people are being stepped on and will stop it if need be, but a super passive person will not work in the current group. Ok, a few more things, I'd prefer someone who aint a rules lawyer, but its not make or break for me, as I am human and do make mistakes, and don't want to discourage people from pointing them out. Don't be afraid of character death. There is about 1 char death a month in this group. Maybe 2. It happens. The combat is challenging, and I do set up scenerios where you can die outside of combat (rarely). You must be willing to work within the confines of the story. Meaning, your char cant be a pirate ninja. It has to make sense. I'm totally willing to contour the story around your character in some respect, but not globally. You're not the center of the universe. And the tale must go on. I have no problem with new players. If you think you can RP a character that's not just you, I have no problem teaching you. Just bring some enthusiasm! If you've made it through this wall of text and not been scared away, feel free to PM me your Skype. I may not get back to you till the weekend. Maybe monday. But we can chat and roll up a char. Just be honest with what parameters have been set please, so as to not waste both our time. Not everyone is a fit for every game, and I can be very curt when its obvious someone isnt. Feel free to ask any questions. Thanks!
