EDIT: CAMPAIGN HAS NOT YET STARTED, but we need a replacement. Applications have reopened! Hey, everyone! I'm looking for more to start a playgroup that is friendly for people who work shifts, have many commitments or have an erratic sleep pattern. The gist is as follows: Flexible schedule . No fixed day of the week to play - a date is decided after each session. Commitment . After a date is set, players are expected to make it to the session. If something comes up, the rest of the group keeps playing... but the missing player continues to gain XP. Missing too many games in a row might get you dropped though. GM is the boss . GM gets final say on everything. Any rules disputes are settled AFTER the game in private, not during the game. Let's not slow down play! Roll20? The basic idea is to combine Roll20 with Skype or Ventrilo to set up the game. I'm pretty well-versed in Roll20, so I can help any GMs looking to learn how to use it. If interested, apply by answering the following questions: First of all, are you interested in DMing? What days of the week would you be interested in playing? What hours work best for you? (Indicate time zone!) What kind of things do you NOT wish to have in this Pathfinder game, in terms of rules, materials, etc.? What's your favorite kind of adventure? What classes are you looking forward to play? List here any other things that you'd like to share! Here's my own submission: First of all, are you interested in DMing? I would prefer being a PC but I could DM. What days of the week would you be interested in playing? I prefer playing between Mon-Thu, but I can free up some Saturdays and Sundays. Fridays are never going to work for me. What hours work best for you? (Indicate time zone!) From around 4PM to 11PM EST on weekdays. What kind of things do you NOT wish to have in this Pathfinder game, in terms of rules, materials, etc.? I am not very fond of Mythic or Gestalt classes. But I do think that some enemies with Mythic levels or even gestalt NPCs can make encounters much more interesting. What's your favorite kind of adventure? Dungeon crawls! If I end up DMing, that's what you should be expecting. What classes are you looking forward to play? I'd like to test out the Occultist from Occult Adventures; otherwise I may want to roll with a Sorcerer, Samurai or Unchained Monk. Favorite houserules? I remove Favored Class Bonuses from all my games and instead grant a free feat to all players upon reaching 6 levels with the same class. I found it works very well to dissuade multiclassing while not making it unviable. List here any other things that you'd like to share! I'm amazing at making macros on Roll20 so I could create some to speed up play for the whole group.
