[LFM] Flexible Schedule Pathfinder Game

1439349486

Edited 1441001306
EDIT: CAMPAIGN HAS NOT YET STARTED, but we need a replacement. Applications have reopened! Hey, everyone! I'm looking for more to start a playgroup that is friendly for people who work shifts, have many commitments or have an erratic sleep pattern. The gist is as follows: Flexible schedule . No fixed day of the week to play - a date is decided after each session. Commitment . After a date is set, players are expected to make it to the session. If something comes up, the rest of the group keeps playing... but the missing player continues to gain XP. Missing too many games in a row might get you dropped though. GM is the boss . GM gets final say on everything. Any rules disputes are settled AFTER the game in private, not during the game. Let's not slow down play! Roll20? The basic idea is to combine Roll20 with Skype or Ventrilo to set up the game. I'm pretty well-versed in Roll20, so I can help any GMs looking to learn how to use it. If interested, apply by answering the following questions: First of all, are you interested in DMing? What days of the week would you be interested in playing? What hours work best for you? (Indicate time zone!) What kind of things do you NOT wish to have in this Pathfinder game, in terms of rules, materials, etc.? What's your favorite kind of adventure? What classes are you looking forward to play? List here any other things that you'd like to share! Here's my own submission: First of all, are you interested in DMing?  I would prefer being a PC but I could DM.  What days of the week would you be interested in playing? I prefer playing between Mon-Thu, but I can free up some Saturdays and Sundays. Fridays are never going to work for me. What hours work best for you? (Indicate time zone!)  From around 4PM to 11PM EST on weekdays. What kind of things do you NOT wish to have in this Pathfinder game, in terms of rules, materials, etc.?  I am not very fond of Mythic or Gestalt classes. But I do think that some enemies with Mythic levels or even gestalt NPCs can make encounters much more interesting. What's your favorite kind of adventure? Dungeon crawls! If I end up DMing, that's what you should be expecting. What classes are you looking forward to play? I'd like to test out the Occultist from Occult Adventures; otherwise I may want to roll with a Sorcerer, Samurai or Unchained Monk. Favorite houserules? I remove Favored Class Bonuses from all my games and instead grant a free feat to all players upon reaching 6 levels with the same class. I found it works very well to dissuade multiclassing while not making it unviable. List here any other things that you'd like to share! I'm amazing at making macros on Roll20 so I could create some to speed up play for the whole group.

First of all, are you interested in DMing? No, I came online so I can be a player. Already DM an IRL game, and don't have time for two What days of the week would you be interested in playing? Sunday is Garunteed, Monday is always out. Thursday Evening I am usually free, and most weekends I get either Saturday or Friday Evening off.  What hours work best for you? (Indicate time zone!) 5PM or later, or All Day Sunday. (Mountain Time) What kind of things do you NOT wish to have in this Pathfinder game, in terms of rules, materials, etc.? Stanima Rules What's your favorite kind of adventure? I'm pretty much down for anything. What classes are you looking forward to play? UnChained Monk/Summoner, Inquisitor, Bards, Sorcerers. Favorite houserules? My Group allowed the swapping of various Monk abilities in place of Stunning Fist (Punishing Kick, Merciful Blow, Elemental Fist, ect.) List here any other things that you'd like to share!   I miss Rolling my Stats. :p
Hello!  I'm an experienced Pathfinder player and I'm on Tokyo time. I'm availbe to play mornings here before 1PM and after 10PM local time. I'd be happy to answer in greater detail if these times work for your group.  I'm not interested in DMing since I recently ran the Serpent's Skull Adventure Path.  I hope I can join you! Thanks!
1. First of all, are you interested in DMing?  I am not interested in DMing and would prefer to play as a PC. (taking a bit of a break from DMing) 2. What days of the week would you be interested in playing?  Any day but Saturday 3. What hours work best for you? (Indicate time zone!)  Time is pretty open with a preference from afternoon to evenings and even late into the early morning. (any time really 12am starting or 12pm starting, I am flexible.) Pacific Standard Timezone 4. What kind of things do you NOT wish to have in this Pathfinder game, in terms of rules, materials, etc.?  Things I personally don't want to run into... I hate the idea of spells requiring spell components... because honestly I am to lazy to keep track of it :D 5. What's your favorite kind of adventure?  Pretty much open to anything. I would like to play a character concept I have been toying around as a Kineticist from the Occult Adventures book (message me for details). As a different character I would also like to play an evil campaign (never really ran into one and would kind of like to see what it is like.) Adult content is fine as long as it is tasteful.  6. What classes are you looking forward to play? I am looking forward  to playing a Kineticist if possible, if not there are other classes I would also like to play. Should you plan to do long term (going to 20 or possibly further) a mage or some form of sorcery (again concept with long term ambitions) 7. Favorite houserules?  The ability to take classes, races even feats (if needed) from 3rd party content (or even DnD) and implement it into the world. 8. List here any other things that you'd like to share!  I enjoy rolling stats, not to keen on point buy. I also love chaos in the game (Wild mages from 2nd edition Advanced Dungeons and Dragons ... check out the wild surge chart, it's a blast!)
First of all, are you interested in DMing? Looking for a group to get a break from DMing and trying out a few PC build options. What days of the week would you be interested in playing? Any days but Saturday work just fine. What hours work best for you? (Indicate time zone!) Anytime after 8pm EST on weekdays (till about 1-2am) and all day Sunday. EST time zone. What kind of things do you NOT wish to have in this Pathfinder game, in terms of rules, materials, etc.? Technology and Psionics and no absurdly high RP races. (i.e. Drow Noble) What's your favorite kind of adventure? A good mix of both RP and Dungeon What classes are you looking forward to play? I enjoy playing most anything and trying new stuff out. Stuff such as caster rogue, non-combat bards, pure combat magus, fighters who only use spells etc.. List here any other things that you'd like to share! A nice house rule I've seen is based on your back story that you create for character (if you make one) the DM assigns you a bonus trait that fits the story. Was always a nice little bonus that never really broke the game. Something I've always done. Also if playing with more experienced players, skipping early levels is always good. Start a campaign at level 4 or 5 usually.
Keep em coming! I'll take applications until tomorrow midnight (EST).  If I can form more than one group I will.
First of all, are you interested in DMing?  No i came online to play since my local gamestore groups have dropped off on playing 3.5 or pathfinder and are doing gurps now. What days of the week would you be interested in playing? any days but fri sunday and tuesday What hours work best for you? (Indicate time zone!) im in central timezone and anytime after 2pm for me should work What kind of things do you NOT wish to have in this Pathfinder game, in terms of rules, materials, etc.? not much i dont like except not being able to get gear could be a downer. What's your favorite kind of adventure? id love dungeon crawls my playstyle is hack and slash mostly so dungeon crawls would fit my style. i dont mind rp either. What classes are you looking forward to play? if we get high enough id love to play a dread ghoul aasimar paladin lore oracle inquisitor that in the end goes into brightness seeker prestige class. List here any other things that you'd like to share i like easy going gms i would love it if we could use anything from the srd site even 3rd party but i can easily live without 3rd party materials. im looking to have fun. im relatively still new to pathfinder but have character creation experience. i also like making a character to play it for more then one or 2 sessions.

First of all, are you interested in DMing? Nope! Although I love world-building and crafting stories on paper, I don't have the desire to DM. What days of the week would you be interested in playing? Mostly Sundays, because I can get home by 7PM even if I work, though my schedule fluctuates week-to-week. It's retail, you know? I'm always down to do something on my days off if it lines up with everyone else. What hours work best for you? (Indicate time zone!) Evenings are preferred, starting around 7PM and ending anywhere up to 2AM. I go by CDT. What kind of things do you NOT wish to have in this Pathfinder game, in terms of rules, materials, etc.? I'm open to a lot, though not a fan of modern settings and keeping track of minuscule details: i.e. armor wear & tear over time, common spell components (rare components like dragon parts, etc. are okay with me), and walking stamina/fatigue. What's your favorite kind of adventure? Something with a fun mix of role-play & dungeon crawling. I'd like there to be some reason we decide to raid various tombs & monster lairs integrated into the story. What classes are you looking forward to play? I usually play a Witch because it's a pretty versatile class that lends the party support and has a lot of flavor. I've also got an interest in the Sorcerer & Cleric classes and would be willing to play the role of a healer if the party required it. List here any other things that you'd like to share! I'm hoping to find a game that's geared towards the long-term with people who are friendly and easy-going for the most part. Also, I'm a graphic artist in my spare time so I can whip up some character portraits/ tokens for anyone in the group that would like one!
Eight hours before closing shop!
Hey, everyone! We had a player drop from the group, so I'm reopening applications for this campaign. We need one more PC!
First of all, are you interested in DMing? Not really, and you'd probably hate me as a DM. What days of the week would you be interested in playing? Any days except Wednesday & Saturday. What hours work best for you? (Indicate time zone!) After 6:30pm CT on Mondays, any time on the others. What kind of things do you NOT wish to have in this Pathfinder game, in terms of rules, materials, etc.? I'm pretty open to most things. I'll try it once. What's your favorite kind of adventure? Ones with side stuff. Not just focused on one thing. What classes are you looking forward to play? I'd love to play one of the new Occult classes. The Kineticist specifically.
First of all, are you interested in DMing? - I would prefer to be a PC.  I have DMed other games, but not Pathfinder, and I feel like I don't know the rules to DM it yet. What days of the week would you be interested in playing?/ What hours work best for you? (Indicate time zone!) - Tuesdays between 4-11pm, (most) Fridays between 6:00 - 11:00pm, and (most) Sundays between 5:00 - 12:00pm.  I live in Michigan, so I'm EST. What kind of things do you NOT wish to have in this Pathfinder game, in terms of rules, materials, etc.? - I'm flexible, but I prefer NOT to play with an evil party.  We usually limit players in real life Pathfinder games to Good or Neutral characters. What's your favorite kind of adventure? - I like it all, but I lean more towards social games.  I like dungeon crawls, and heavy fighting, but I like roleplaying social encounters a little more.  But like I said, I'm flexible. What classes are you looking forward to play? - Paladin, Fighter, Inquisitor, (I've always wanted to try Gunslinger, but haven't yet), Bard List here any other things that you'd like to share! - I've been playing RPGs for many years now.  I've even homebrewed a few games (d20 SRD and AGE systems).  I very much enjoy Pathfinder.  In real life, my gaming group is playing through the Kingmaker Adventure Path.
