Yeah I realize as I mentioned that you could just have links set up, but I was wondering if maybe having video's interfaced through Roll20 might be somehow more effective, or more dramatic? And uploading such videos to roll20 would be space heavy, and a streaming link would be more efficient. I need opinions and ideas! In my mind I was thinking of a roll20 campaign kinda as a facebook page. You have all these handouts full of characters, PC's, NPC's or what not, pictures, descriptions etc.. Would it be worthwhile to have a section for videos, where the GM or player could set up a gallery of videos. Maybe that tell the tale of the party's adventures, or link a youtube vid that sets the mood of the current adventure. Or maybe something that would help describe a Gm's campaign. Not everyone is a fan of lengthy paragraphs of reading, maybe this could be an alternative? I'm not really sure, I just thought to myself... yeah... I see so many links in roll20 for streaming vids, and then they're lost forever when the session is over (not really but basically) maybe having a seperate section might promote its use somehow... I don't know... Right now all the campaigns are fairly private. I could see a section on the roll20 where you look at an ongoing campaign and you can peak at shared pictures, npc's, videos etc and maybe use that for inspiration in your own game. Or that might promote sharing your work as a gm or as a group with others with similar interests. I love roll20 so much, I could really see this as a way of promoting a community of tabletop gamers, even more than it already does :) anyway, let me know what you think.
