Homebrew Campaign Seeking players for an ongoing Pathfinder Homebrew game.  Game times are Tuesday & Friday evenings @ 8pm EST, every week for the foreseeable future (same game, twice per week).  An ideal setting for players who love getting into a game and enjoy playing often, with an ongoing storyline. Setting The campaign setting is set within a lush, expansive world of the GM's own design, complete with illustrated maps, towns, and adventuring areas.  Players are offered the assistance of story plot hooks should they wish to capitalize on them, but can ultimately do what they choose to do so long as prepared content allows for it.  An overarching storyline has been embedded into the game that fits best with characters seeking to partake in an epic story to "save the land" (pardon the cliche).  Currently, the group seeks to undermine the efforts of a drow house which has infiltrated a kingdom of surface elves, masquerading as their rightful rulers.  Previous quests have involved culling a nearby Orc tribe, dealing with a necromancer who had taken up residence in the catacombs of the game's major city, among other more limited quests.  The setting is designed to be played up to level 20, with full-blown epic high level content, epic monsters, with an epic apocalyptic "high stakes" storyline and theme.    Game is played in Roll20, using beautiful maps, background music, and takes advantage of Roll20's dynamic lighting for a cooler atmosphere.  We play over Skype, or Teamspeak.  Headset with microphone is required.      Rules This campaign uses Pathfinder rules, with modifications to monsters and certain house rules at the GM's discretion.  Players should join the game with the understanding that the GM reserves the right to adjust certain rules to reflect his designs for the campaign setting in general, sometimes at a moment's notice.  For this reason, newer players and players more interested in roleplaying than rules-lawyering are usually better suited to the setting. Characters Players should create characters optimized for incredibly intense combat encounters.  Encounters in this setting are very challenging, to the point where some might consider them unbalanced.  Combat encounters can be nail-biting affairs, appreciated by those who enjoy epic challenges.  Optimized characters are recommended, and the setting allows players to make use of a heroic ability point system (17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, assign as desired, and add +1 to any stat thereafter before other mods).  All classes allowed except Gunslinger and Summoner.  All archetypes allowed.  Core races allowed plus Aasimars.  Two traits.  Level 9 characters, with 46,000 Gold to purchase items.  The GM will rubber-stamp most wondrous item purchases, but check first as part of the character creation process.  If you're new to Pathfinder or aren't the greatest in creating a powerfully optimized character, don't sweat it.  We have veteran players on the team who are ready and willing to help you make a great character that's inspired by your vision.  Alternatively, if you're a veteran, please show us your stuff - we're happy to learn from you as well.  Last but certainly not least - roleplaying is highly encouraged, and enhances a great storyline.  Characters with personalities are the best characters. Player Requirements To best fit in this group and the setting, players should have the following attributes: - Availability for Tuesdays and Fridays at 8pm EST.  Sessions average 4-5 hours each. - Be RP-centric, focusing mostly on the story and group interaction. - Be a team player and moreless easy going. - Love combat.  You don't have to channel Quentin Tarantino, but it helps. - Be social in our Skype channel throughout the week - Players new to Pathfinder are OK! If this sounds appealing and you're looking for a close-knit group that plays regularly in a long-term campaign, please add me to Skype and we will discuss having you join.   natethegreat976 is the Skype name.            "Do whatever it takes to WIN."
