Thinking of starting up an concept based on what we used to play in my player group back in the day. To summarize the idea is: *5ed D&D *Open for any player of any experience *Open for as many player and characters as is needed *Flexible for people like me with varying time to play *Crowd leveling of characters *Connecting players with each other The idea is basically setting up a community of players. And a pool of characters. That way if you have an idea, either as GM or player and the time, you can contact other players in the community. For a quick or longer game. Back in the day when i was young(er) we used to have a pool of about 10 players and a open house. Those who had the time and will would come to this house and ask to join the game. Often it ended up with some arguing about who would gm and who would play. But it always ended up in play. If a player was behind on xp he/she would gain enough to level up to the same level as the rest of the party, no one in the world like to be the weak wheel on the cart. What i would like to do here is of cause more organised. I was thinking of a set leveling system. Perhaps every week for the first 4 weeks and then every month. That way you can join as many or as few games as is needed and still be the same level as everyone else. Also every player can have several characters. So if a player would like to join a game and they need a certain role, be it class or alignment, they can get out the appropriate one. Same with magical items. When a player levels he will gain some gold witch he can buy from a basic list of items. This being simple +1 armor and weapons. Utility items like bag of holding and so on. The point is the players who play allot will have more and more interesting items than the ones who don't play. And if you gm you will get a bonus. I have put allot more work into this, but i will not present more before i see if anyone is interested.
