D&D 3.5 - Recruiting Players - The Tale of SIlvermarch

Hello I am going to be running my first public game on roll20 and I am looking for some players, the time of the game hasn't been set in stone yet but I am eastern time and I am guessing 6pm or later. The campaign will be a semi-short adventure investigating the happenings of a mining community. The players will be people who came to clear out the monsters in the area, whether they are part of an Adventurer's Guild, hired by local government, or just some do-gooders looking to make a name for themselves. The players will start at 5th level, most WOTC (Psions,ToB,etc) source books are allowed, Starting gear is standard for 5th level characters according to Wealth by Level in the DMG. If you are interested leave you times available (again mostly looking to run 6pm or later Eastern time), What you might be interested in playing, how well you know 3.5 D&D, and what you look for in a gaming group. I do accept new players, just let me know if you are new and I will be sure and takes things a bit slow while you learn. Thanks for reading and if you have any questions feel free to ask.

If the start time is 8pm EST or later, I should be good to go just about any night. I too am EST but need to get the kids to bed before I can game. I'd be interested in playing some form of Dwarf or maybe Human meatstick. (Barbarian / Fighter / Warblade).

I'd be interested in playing. Primarily I like wizards or monks. I am EST. My availability is limited during the week to around 10:30 Pm EST but on certain days I can be on earlier and also most Saturdays. I am fairly familiar with the system, but it has been a while since I have played.

I'd be interested, after 6pm(EST) every day of the week but tues/thurs I have a commitment at 8pm. I'd be interested.I've a mic but it's not the best of quality. Barring not being able to find a mic in time I can play anytime and will play any class that needs a position filled. Usually a caster class. I prefer to play nonstandard races(monster races) if that is not feasible I'll just choose another race. I've played quite a bit of 3.5 with friends though we would sometimes get a bit loose with the rules. I've even dmed a bit.

I'd like to try out a game, I want to experience an actual game before I start DMing I already have fair knowledge about how to, but no actual people to game with. roll 20 seems great for this. Yet at the moment I want to fight monsters!

I'd like to play a gnoll. Would that be allowable? By the way what method do we use for abilites? Point buy? Roll? Other?

Are you playing once a week, twice a week? Also, when are you getting together? I saw that you are full, but would like to keep tabs to see if a slot opens up. Also I have a custom class I used to play back when D&D was up to the Powers and Options. It is very similar to the current Magus class of Pathfinder in the sense that it can fight (blades only) and cast spells (thru specially prepared blades it wields). Let me know if there is any possibility of checking out the game.

There is the possibility, but it would be for 11pm Eastern GMT-4 more than likely, might even need another player or so.

I'd like to play if you have space. I'll pick a class no one else has.

I would love to join the group if you have a spot open I'm Eastern as well so the 8pm time definitely works for me. I usually play some sorta fighter/monk or an assassin/rogue character

One more person you say eh? Well I happen to be quite interested in your group! anytime 6PM or later works for me. I have a very average exposure to 3.5, in that I've played in a few groups with it and I know the general rules of combat/exploration etc, however I'm by no means a Pro and I don't typically know the optimal way to build every character. So I'm ye olde average player in that respect (experience level wise). I'm open to playing any class role you have spots for left, and can play just all about all of them rather competently.

And on a side note, I have no obligation of starting as late as 11 and going into the wee hours of the morning. Pretty flexible with that.

I'm on Pacific time, so this fits really well into my schedule. I'm free on Fridays (starting around 9 EST) and Sundays (6 to 3 EST). I haven't played 3.5, but I'm sure I can pick it up quickly. I'd like to be a barbarian, if possible.
