My D&D Background: I've always wanted to play D&D, but I never really thought I'd have an opportunity to learn it anytime soon. After a group of my favorite streamers started a D&D campaign using Roll20 (the stream was Late Night With Cry and Russ, by the way) I got really into the idea of playing a campaign online. Due to some personal problems, I never got around to it but about a year later I got back into D&D and actually played a few games! After about three or four games, the group fell apart, so I never got fully confident with what I was doing. I haven't played for about six months so I have brushed up on a few things, but I'm still not super confident with the game. What I'm Looking For In A Group: I'm just looking for a group that is willing to accept someone who is still learning D&D, and is okay with playing with someone who is trans (genderfluid). I'm not expecting everyone to treat me differently, but I just wanted to make it known upfront, even though I don't think it'll affect anything. Preferably I'd like to start a campaign at level one, play once a week or every other week, and have it continue on with the same group of people. I'd prefer to play using a voice-only call in Skype, TeamSpeak, or something similar. My Schedule: I have a very flexible schedule and I'm willing to work around what other people need. I'm free most every night after 4 P.M EST, and am free every afternoon except Tuesdays. I'm willing to stay up late, or get up early depending on what everyone else needs. I'm free most everyday in the near future, except for the 13th of September. Character: The character I'd like to play is a Wood Elf female Ranger named Nai'ah (pronounced Nye-Uh). I don't want to fill this entire post with the details of her character, so I'll give a summary and if you'd like to know more feel free to ask (of course if you end up being my DM you'll get to hear all the details.) Nai'ah was born and raised in a small community of wood elves who live in the forest as guards and protectors. When she was young, she was taught how to be a ranger and why protecting the forest is so important. This was taught to her by an elf in his prime named Elidyr. She trained with him until she was 125, when he was killed fighting off an orc tribe about to ambush their village. He singlehandedly stopped the attack while Nai'ah escaped and warned the village, sacrificing his life in the process. She still blames herself for not doing anything to save his life and became a guide so she could save others from the same fate. She is very quiet and thoughtful, but is very wary and distrustful of other races (especially half-orcs) and "city-folk". A Bit About Me: I'm going to make this quick because this post has gone on for far too long. I'm 15, from a small New England town, currently studying Japanese with a hope to be an exchange student in Japan in a few years, and I enjoy painting and writing in my free time. I'm taking high-school classes online so I'm able to have a pretty flexible schedule. I'm excited to read all of your replies and hopefully find a group that's willing to have me!
