Alternative voice/chat to Skype: Discord

I've just started using Discord , a new voice/chat service geared towards gamers and I really like it. They're going to integrate into Twitch soon, and eventually implement video capabilities. It's super lightweight / low on bandwidth, so we might consider using it in place of Skype. We may get better results. It's available on all major platforms. I made a quick voice channel if any of you wanted to try it out today: https://discord.gg/0VnYRX6cFB4gOMqI

I'm down to try it based on your recommendation. We can get the whole group trying it today, if you think it's game-ready and everyone agrees. I guess we will start on Skype and talk about hopping over to Discord. Any players who see this, go ahead and click Jennifer's link to the Discord and check it out.
I found it superior to Skype!

I concur! sent it too my other DM, and he made the server, we tested it and he fell in love. the rest of the group has tried it out over the last couple days, and there are now another 9 people that agree as well :)
Bitchin'. Now I just need to set up that Discourse forum so we can get out of the Roll20 one.

There is also teamspeak. Although is has no video function, as a voice program, it's really good and VERY easy to use. **updates** I jsut noticed this was from 6 months ago! lol sorry guys!

I did suggest it, but Discord has more functionalities. I also suggested Curse Voice, but the interfaces are already similar enough so, yeah. I currently have TS3, Discord and Curse installed xD
