Shadowrun: From the bottom. The sixth world is a harsh place; it certainly hasn’t done you any favors. Considering what you’ve been through, you feel lucky to be alive but sufficed to say circumstances have led you to the shadows; maybe your only option left. Any semblance of your life before is gone; no friends, no family, no connections, and maybe worst of all -- no money, To the Corps, you are just another cog in the system that has fallen away -- discarded, never to be heard from again. But the one thing you do have is a gun and the know how to use it. However, in the world of shadowrunning, you are as green as they come. Without any practical experience, crews pass up your offers to help out on a run and no reputable fixer is willing to risk their bottom line on a loner with no qualifications. Amid another cool night deep within the slums of Seattle your situation caught the attention of a man who calls himself Armon. He introduces himself as a seeker of talent and flips a credstick your way containing ¥100 and an address written on the underside. The lowlifes of society huddled around the burning barrel with you shake their heads subtly, warning you against being taken in by the man’s pitch but his parting words already made up your mind. “Welcome to the Shadows, time to build your reputation.” This campaign will be designed for beginner shadowrunners using level one characters. Prior experience with the Shadowrun Campaign setting or the Shadowrun 5th edition rules are not required, but players selected to be in the campaign must make an effort to familiarize yourself with each of these things in the interest in keeping sessions moving as smoothly as possible. People choosing to be deckers or mages _must_ be intimately familiar with the rules of those systems. The campaign will kick off in late November, but we’ll use the next month to get a solid cast of players together and create characters. The plan is to work with a flexible schedule, but our main session time will be Sunday afternoons on a bi-weekly basis, the time-zone is CST. Hopefully we can complete an entire run with each session, not to exceed three hours per sitting. It will be a connected campaign with an overarching narrative so people who want to make a commitment to a long term group are appreciated. This is a roleplay oriented game so roleplaying with be encouraged and rewarded but not super strictly enforced (metagaming at a minimum, please). Only respectful players who just want to have a good time and can go with the flow are welcome! Not to be blunt, but I’m a 30 year old guy and my patience for rudeness that ruins everyone’s fun ran out a long time ago. Any other questions, post them here. If you are interested, please say so on here as well as list of times your are normally available.
