First of all, The listing: https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/23689/starborn-... Introduction: Starborn is a sci-fi setting that has been a creation of our gaming group and developed over many years, and it's depth of lore and detail reflect that. This game is a TEXT-BASED Roleplay campaign, that uses Skype for Voice-chat for all other interactions between the players (In reality, we probably talk to much to call this a full Text game, but the Roleplay/Storytelling IS in the text chat). The campaign has been running for a little while, and we have had some bad luck with player schedules. We are looking to fill those slots with a couple of good players to round out the team. We run on Sundays, beginning at 8pm Eastern Time, and usually go for about four hours, give or take, per session. What the Game is about: The Game is set within a far future galactic government, though it is focused on one particular system. This system is well known as a hive of organized crime who self-govern themselves through a Syndicate that enforces a series of rules so that all illicit activity can operate without notice by the galactic military. One particular organization has defied the syndicate to pursue their own unknown ambitions. They are called the Templars, and the Templar's influence runs deep. Their hands are in the local law enforcement. Their influence are in local politicians. They possess military grade hardware, and experimental technologies, and their mad leader is a dangerous man with his finger of the trigger of an entire system, and who's to say his ambition will stop there... Who the party is: The Party is composed of various people at street-level who, for one reason or another, have formed up to fight a shadow war against the Templars. Th party does have vague syndicate sanctioning, though the party, as a whole, is a "rogue element" who have taken it upon themselves to disrupt the Templar's ambitions, and bring their organization tumbling down. What we are looking for: This is a very Roleplay-heavy campaign. We are looking for players who are creative, pro-active, and enjoy being a part of a lore-rich universe while making their own mark upon the story being told. Those who like deep, immersion roleplay and mysterious, conspiratorial stories with a cyberpunk feel will find a lot to like here. Familiarity with th Fate system is not required. We are quite willing to show a good player the ropes, so if you are interested in Fate, but never played, this could be a good opportunity to learn. There is a lot of lore set with the world, so players who like immersing themselves in a living world will find a lot to like. If you are interested, tell us a bit about yourself as a player in the link above, and a general character idea you might have. (Stealthily sorts, party faces, or Pilots are particularly welcome!)
