Pathfinder Gnome Bard Crafter help?

Our party is currently running rise of the runelords this character is starting at the 4th level 25 point build with 10000 starting gold. our party consists of a human barbarian, human life oracle, human rogue, and a elven wizard. since our party currently seems to already have filled the roles of damage, trap disablement, healing, and magic aoe, i was gonna play the bard to effectively be face and support for the party since bards have UMD i figured they might be a natural pick for a crafter as well spells they don't know they can use scrolls or another magic device to substitute the spells they don't know this is what i have so far. on top of that i don't know what to pick for equipment i do want to try to keep the purchased homunculi as it can sit and craft while everyone goes adventuring. any help would be much appreciated. Open to any options including a class change if necessary

Ok, first blush, your stats are illegal. An 8 Con is not possible for a Gnome since 7 is the minimum starting score before racial modifiers and the +2 bonus from Gnome would bring that to a 9. I have assumed you meant 9. The following assumes you have not yet purchased ability score boosting equipment (I do not see any on your sheet).  6 Str (8-2) = -2pts 16 Dex = 10pts 9 Con (7+2) = -4  18 Int (17+1 at level 4) = 13 pts 10 Wis = 0pts 18 Cha (16+2) = 10pts Total: 27 which is 2 pts too high.  Unfortunately, your strength is going to cost you move speed. I expect fully equipped you will have a move speed of 15. A Mithril Shirt (10lbs) combined with the Bag of Holding type 1 you have already listed will put you over your light encumbrance limit. You will either need to purchase an item to deal with this or remain medium encumbered.  I suggest the following stats:  10 Str (12-2) = 2pts 16 Dex = 10pts 9 Con (7+2) = -4 pts 16 Int (15+1 at level 4) = 7pts 10 Wis = 0pts 18 Cha (16+2) = 10pts Total: 25pts For Favored Class point I would spend it on skills. You will keep your 10 skills per level.  Regarding your traits , you cannot take both Eldritch Smith and Hedge Magician. They are both magic traits and you can only have 1 trait from each category. Also, I do not see Adopted on your list (which is how you would be allowed to take Dwarf race traits). Personally, I would take one of the various +2 Initiative traits. You going first will benefit your allies greatly.  Regarding your skill ranks   in Bluff and Diplomacy , I would not take any ranks in either of them. Due to Versatile Performance the skill Perform Strings does everything those two skills do. You should have 4 ranks in Perform Strings and 0 in Diplomacy and Bluff.  Regarding Craft Artifice , is there a reason for this (flavor is a fine answer). It wont really do anything for you mechanically. The craft skills are far too slow to do anything with.  Regarding Perception , I see a misc +2 bonus that I *think* came from the Gnome ability "Keen Senses". However, in order for your Gnome to have Darkvision you must have swapped out Keen Senses (and Low-Light Vision) for it.  Regarding Spellcraft and Use Magic Device , I am not seeing where the misc +2 bonus is coming from.  For the rest of your skills , I would put at least 1 point in every knowledge in order to get the class bonus. With the points you should not spend in Bluff or Diplomacy you should have enough points to spend on your knowledge skills. Also, I don't see your Bardic Knowledge bonus in any of your knowledge skills.  Regarding the crafting Homunculus , could you explain how it crafts? I do not see any ability that allows it to do so and I don't see an ability on your list that allows it to do so.  For Equipment I suggest: Headband of Alluring Charisma +2 (2000gp crafted) +1 Mithral Chain Shirt (2100gp) +1 Buckler (1155gp) +1 Cloak of Resistance (500gp crafted) +1 Shortbow (2375gp) Handy Haversack (1000gp, it holds less than a Bag of holding but it weighs less too) This will leave you with 870gp, If you want to keep the Homunculus then you could remove the +1 Shortbow. Regarding Feats  I strongly suggest the feat Lingering Performance. It effectively triples the number of rounds you can use Bardic Performance. I would also suggest that in the future you consider the feat Spellsong if you find yourself casting a lot of concentration spells (such as illusions).  I hope this helps. - Gauss
