Hello all! So here's the skinny; I am looking for some peeps to get into a game with. I am interested in running more or less whatever kind of Pathfinder game you want. One-shot, long campaign, home-brew, module, whatever really. I'm in sales, so let's see if I can sell myself to you guys... 26 year old husband and father in B2B sales from Dallas, Texas. Why me? Attitude , which is to say I have a good one. I like to keep things upbeat. I constantly ask myself what type of attitude I am portraying, and as such really really try to help the group maintain a 'good vibe'. Willing to compromise , I have no problem at all playing whatever the GM/Group needs/wants. Half-Orc Cleric? Gnome Barbarian? Halfing Wizard? Or more traditional class/race compositions, I am willing to help out with whatever.  Understand GM's position , I understand that GMs HAVE to tell their players no sometimes. It's OK, they are just doing what they think is best to give the players a good experience. I promise not to give push-back once the GM has made a ruling. Commitment , I have heard quite a few people complain that because the people you meet on Roll20 are not real-life friends, they feel less obligation to come through on their commitments. I assure you I am not a flake. Now that's not to say that real life stuff doesn't come up (I am a father of a 5 month old), but I an adult, and know how to deal with those issues in a way that is respectful of others' time. Friendly , I have never met a Stranger I didn't like.  From Texas , I think its a plus. Another plus is I have no Southern Accent. So you get the best of both worlds. HUMOR!!! , I like to laugh, and have thick skin. Both are great traits to bring to a group setting. Equipment , I have a VERY high end Mic, and a Logitech C920 Webcam, so I would prefer to use them. That is to say I would really prefer to not be in a group that types a lot. Nothing personal, and I certainly don't feel superior because of my gear, I just want to be able to make things easier than trying to type everything out. Experience - Maybe 50 hours of true gameplay with 3.5, and about 100 hours in Pathfinder. I'm not so new I'm going to be lost the whole time, but I could definitely use an experienced player or two to lean on for random questions time to time. So there you have it! Hopefully someone out there has some room for me. I would love to make some new friends and meet some new people! Regards, Cody  Edit:  I'm looking to play not GM a game. Also I would really love to find a game Thursday nights.

Just because it has been asked. I am interested in playing not GMing initially. Although I am currently constructing a 5 part story arc and am already building it here on Roll20.  That won't be ready until October.  Regards, Cody
Looking for a couple games to fill my schedual, I'm a stay at home husband. So here a LOT. Between 7 dogs, a disabled g/f and such I can sympathize on the 'real life kicks your ass' sometimes.
Hey! I like the sales pitch already! The thing is I'm already running a RotRL (Rise of the Runelords) Campaign and its doing fairly well. I had the sudden urge to run it again not too long ago, I pretty much have the entire first chapter laid out which if it progresses like my game name now (About 8 or so sessions they haven't quite gotten through it). I would like to see how a different group would handle the situations. Currently, the only real time I could run this would be Saturdays. If your interesting (Including toy Keno) just post here or PM me and let me know.
I would be interested too: I don't like to use webcams tho-I think they are intrusive, and the moving people aactually distract from the gameboards I'm fairly experienced at virtual roleplay/GM, and I have two significant virtual experiences which have taught me a lot. 1. I am in a group which has been running for over 2 years now; it started off as a Traveller game but we run various games and take turns GM  ing now. The group has survived and worked because: - we all have a similar gaming approach -we all have not dissimilar world views (or at least don't shove them down one anothers throats) -we are all in the 'older bracket'c. 40-50 years old: hence all a bit more laid back about it all This all works great despite the fact we are mix of Brits, Americans and Canadians, with different backgrounds. 2. My second experience was here on roll20, when I decided to GM a game outside of this group.  I recruited four players and ran for about 3-4 weeks before giving up. The reason was basically because I was not enjoying it, and it was becoming a major chore for me. This was because (I think); -players of widely different expectations/ backgrounds/approaches to games  -variation in ages  -the game was Pathfinder, which I really like, but unlike my other experiences of running it I was constantly addressing rules issues.  -people often not being able to make a session was a bit annoying. Chasing people up all the time was annoying.  For what its worth, I'd just say that if you don't get the right chemistry the group is doomed to disaster. I am a certain type of GM/ some people will used to different GM ing styles/different ages/expectations: it can all add up. Face to Face I've not often had these problems, as you usually get to know the people in your gaming club or whatever, and this bypasses certain of these issues. I have tried a few of those games where a bunch of random players come together for a one off scenario, and for me that just doesn't work: The players don't know one another, one player might be a reasonable and laid back role player, another a  metagamer with a super character, another a drunk 17 years old cracking jokes with his chums,  another a rules lawyer always picking holes at the ref.etc etc. It's a nightmare, and the problems/ issues I've previously described tend to be much magnified..
Hey Cody and Joey, I am quite new to DnD and have been wanting to get involved in it. I have been reading up on Pathfinders alot and I got hooked. I am available on most Saturdays to play and I think using a Cam and Mic is the best way to go about it. I would need a little help in the rules and what not but I don't think you'll have to hold my hand too much. If you do make this group and have an open spot for me it'd be much appreciated.
Depending on when everyone gets together I'd be interested as well. I've actually never played Pathfinder, having been a solid 3.5 player for a few years now. I don't know why but I pretty much was a rabid opponent of Pathfinder for no reason other than "it's not 3.5". However I sat down and started looking through the materials the other day and was really impressed with them. I'd love to get involved in a game. It sounds like we're all in the same boat. I've done a lot of forum based RP but it's just not the same as face to face gaming (or voice for that matter). When you're doing forum RP, it just seems to be serious all the time and you don't get the table humor that made me fall in love with D&D in the first place. But as for the game itself, I'm more of a player. I've dabbled in DM/GMing before but I always wind up swamping myself with one thing or another and things fall through. I've got the "new DM" syndrome going on where I want to make EVERYTHING first before the campaign even starts. So for now I'm sitting back and starting playing a bit before I decide whether or not to try DMing again. I like rogues and wizards mainly, and I'm not one of those guys that feels the need to roll an exotic character from some obscure book every time. I've seen it so much it's kind of become a pet peeve - characters of some insanely obscure race, multiclassed into things nobody's ever heard of, etc. Granted the classes are usually interesting, but I'd like to see a bit of normalcy, maybe? It's a quirk of mine, probably. So yeah, definitely interested in Pathfinder, especially long running campaigns. I've always wanted to get into a game where I can go from 1-20 and beyond, build a fortune, tons of adventures, build a tower for my wizard or start a guild for my rogue, that sort of thing. Not necessarily a single overarching story, but many smaller campaigns rolled into one. My 'dream' game would be where, for instance, we form a company or guild or something and go off on a campaign. When we come back we can take some time and build up the company, be it personal stuff, hire on minions, build an actual fort or office, guild hall, etc., then go out on another one. If you've ever watched/listened to the Acquisitions Inc. games from Penny Arcade you'll kinda get the idea. And realistically, that's the sort of game I'd like to be in - lots of fun, lots of laughs, etc. I don't mind RP, but I'm not one to take things super seriously. My rogues are almost always kleptomaniacs to the extreme. One particular thief attempted to steal a shiny blue crystal dagger from a stall. It didn't work and he was chased off by the stall owner. Thanks to some creative investigation he found the stall owner's home, bought three or four barrels of lamp oil from a local shop, dumped the oil on the merchant's house, and lit it up in order to get the stall owner to rush home to try and save some of his things. In the meantime my halfling klepto returned to the stall and cleaned house. Then he got the heck outta Dodge! Last note on a potential game - I'm military, so weekdays are a definite no-go. I'm also in Korea, so the time difference is pretty crazy but I'm willing to wake up early to join in, so long as it's Saturday or Sunday. I'm totally up for weekly games, also. I'll leave things at that - hopefully we can all get this to work and get gamin'!
Collin I'm right there with you. I would love to get started with a long campaign that you start at 1 and get all the way up to the top by doing various missions in order to get gold and items. It would be my first play through so I would like to start somewhat normal with just and elven ranger. Nothing to chaotic or evil. I want it to be more realistic and don't want to get caught in some bad roll playing if I had a chaotic character.  If we did weekends, Saturdays would defiantly be the best for me. Sunday night I work so I wouldn't be able to do that. Weekly would be great, but if someone had to do something that day then there is nothing wrong with skipping a week. Maybe an extra day would open up for everyone one and week could get days in.
If a group does get started from this, I would be interested in playing. Been playing pathfinder for a while so I would say I am familiar with the rules and gameplay. I can play any class and usually pick whatever will best compliment the party. Send me a pm if a group gets formed.

Chasing people up all the time was annoying. I just saw your post. I think the game style I suggested (long, 1-20 campaign made up of modules instead of one massive storyline) would work great for this. We could pull from a larger pool of players - if one person can't show up, you know what, that's fine. They're going to miss out on that particular module, but they can join on the next one and catch up. If the PCs made their own guild or company it would work even better because when they're gone it could just be said they were occupied and they'll meet up at the guild hall. It seems like it would be more flexible to me that way. I haven't looked at too many of the Pathfinder modules but from what I understand there's plenty, and they go 1-20 for the most part so I don't think we'd run out of material any time soon. EDIT: Maybe it's because I'm so sleep deprived but I was looking through the adventure paths and I had a pretty epic thought. Start off with Rise of the Runelords - the characters meet for the first time, form their company, save the day, etc. etc. etc. BUT! After Rise of the Runelords finishes, the party returns to their city of choice (it could really be anywhere). They're hired to come help out somewhere, and then the next adventure path in the series starts! ALL of the adventure paths could be chained together in this manner! Just imagine how much gameplay there is there! Each path is meant to take players from 1-14/15 range, and if we put all six together... happy, happy days! Honestly the biggest problem with this thought is scaling up the difficulty as the mega campaign rolled on. This was literally a spur of the moment thought, so I don't know exactly how the power scaling would work. If anyone has done something like that before (scaled up premade enemies) let me know. I don't think I'm up to the challenge of DMing something like this but I'd be more than happy to help get things formed and converted (scaling enemies and whatnot).
I'd be interested in playing pathfinder with you guys too, preferably a Half-Orc Barbarian, somewhat tanky but not built for full defense, more like a brawler. Lemme know if you guys start a group!
Most of the Paizo APs take characters from L1 to about L12-14 in six modules: that's the marketing strategy really. Buy one AP, Play it. Buy the next AP and play with new characters.... Fine from a marketing point of view, but it means characters are effectively one shot (though of course the campaign may take some months. Of course experienced GMs can always tone down the progression to give characters a 'longer lifespan'. At the end of the day its just taste and preference of the players. My opinion is that a large Pool of Players works against the success of a campaign. Six players total is really the absolute maximum, with four or five being optimal. I cannot emphasize enough that the players need to know and get along with one another for success- a relationship  which cannot be built, in my view, with an ever changing cast of players/ characters.
I agree, atleast from my perspective I always enjoy a small core of up to 6 players, you get that comradery feel, you're a group of adventurers faced against impossible odds type of thing.
I'd be happy to join a mature Pathfinder weekly group.  I've been a GM for a long time, haven't been able to play in some time now.  Saturday or Sunday would be perfect for me.  Please add me to Skype if something happens here to form a new group.    natethegreat976
Yes this is starting to work pretty well. I think we should keep it at a 6 person group. I feel like it will be better for it to last long and everyone would get to know everybody. The next step is that we should get a skype group chat going. My skype name is riley1111hoyt
My skype name is xxxvirusxxx38, send me an invite if you wanna start this up.
We need the skype contacts for everybody. So swampedbybunnies and Collin M. and more should post their information.

Hey guys, I have spoken to a GM currently running a group and believe I may have 'found a home' for now. Feel free to add my Skype @ dakotahornx. Also feel free to hijack the thread. I can't play on the weekends and as long as you guys appear to be getting something going here, more power to you! Best of Luck, Cody
Wow! Ok thats quite a turn-out. I love that you all are interested and such. Currently, I'm looking for a party of 5, possible 6. Last night two people filled up player slots which leaves roughly 3-4 slots. The time on Saturday has not been announced seeing as how we don't know players schedules. I will message people randomly (To be fair and unbiased) to see if we can work something out. Skype name is dethcage
Hey everyone, I am game for this if you have room. You are describing the sort of players and game that I am looking for. I am CDT and would like to find a mature group that plays weekend afternoons. Preferably Pathfinder/3.5. I would really like to do some Pathfinder APs. If you're full already, please keep me in mind in case you have a spot later.
I am swampedbybunnies1.  My weekends are currently full tho so would be looking midweek or maybe Friday.  I may GM a game but would prefer if there were another also.  That way a GM could run his game for maybe 6-8 sessions, and then take a rest while another GM runs his own game for an equal time. That also gives the GM the opportunity to be a player, and avoids the Very Real Burnout Issue. .  I am GMT also which probably means a CST start of maybe 6 pm ish? Maybe 7. If not practical fair enough. My option to run would probably be Legacy of Fire.
I'm down for basically anything. Saturday for ya'll is basically Sunday over here, which works for me. I'd like for the game to be a long campaign, but at this stage I really just want to game and work the details out later - it's been a long, LONG time since I've been able to play. My skype name is tigblacklight, so feel free to contact me.
If you guys haven't filled up my skype is greasyskillet1. Thanks.
Can the people interested in this thread PM me? If we can agree a time (which will be midweek, not weekend) I will GM Legacy of Fire. Another player /GM will give me a rest at times by running another campaign which I can Play in. My initial slot will probably run at least 8-12 sessions. Remember I am GMT so that means starting c. 6-7 CST at latest really (earlier the better for me, within reason). It all depends on agreeing a day/ time initially. I am an older player/ GM and if you have a vid game/ get rich quick approach to these games my GM style may not suit. I am also one of those GMs whose word is Law, so be sure that you are ok with this: if I don't like a rule or think it's results are crazy-I will improvise and over rule.
