Hey there Homebrew World

Hi everybody! How's it going over here? I realized I forgot about Roll20 for a while, and wanted to check in and see how you are doing. Good to see this campaign is still going on! A little update from my side: in the last couple months I managed to get my issues solved, my burn out (which took a full year) is definitely on the way out now! And now, slowly, my urge to play D&D is returning as well. I am curious about all the adventures you had as a group! Anyway, I just wanted to say hi. I look back with great fondness on our mutual adventures, and am missing it a lot! I will try to regularly check back in here from now on :) Hans / Sandoval

Yo bro wassup! Glad things are on the up and up for you. Well, to make it short we allied with the lizardmen after freeing the Lizard King and kick Shark Fortress butt... Now we're running alternate level one characters resolving an adventure we missed out on with our mains.
The Lizard King needed freeing? I didn't see that coming! I was already wondering why I saw all the new character names, now that makes sense too. I see Jennifer left the group for the time being. Is everyone else still around?

Only Airen and I are left from the original group... If you count Larry. Yeah the Lizard King was kind of ensorcelled by his evil shaman advisor. After Torvald killed him in single combat... And we defeated his spirit army... He was freed; eventually providing troops for our coalition against the Sharkmen & fortress.

Hi Hans ! We think of you often and talk about your PC Sandoval sometimes. The group membership has shifted gradually over the past year of gaming. There are still some Players who you know, and some newer ones to meet. Even Chris is on a hiatus right now, as he's moving. You are welcome and encouraged to rejoin this game anytime you like, and play with us when you want to. Your spot is saved at the table here. The game time is the same as before. The day is usually Tuesday or sometimes Mondays. We have an excellent group, that can easily accommodate 1-2 new or returning Players. You can play Sandoval , or make a new PC2. No problem either way. DM recap The party you helped to build, eventually was dubbed "The Challengers Of Destiny" and completed a huge 3-part adventure. In the 250-square-mile swamp, with many adventures for months, eventually they got a meeting with the Neutral Lizard King and free'd him from the influence of an Evil Shaman and some Chaotic factions -- including killing Vessik, as well as an Ogre Mage (big treasure), a Wight in Wooly Swamp, and a Pan-Lung Dragon. For a while Sanvar (Ryan) came back into the game.  In the shark-fort finale' they encountered Waterbenders (both evil and neutral), killed the Shark Baron King, and the Baroness got away as did a couple of the waterbender priestesses. When they got back to Portlandio, it had been decimated by a typhoon. In town rumors abounded of a dragon riding the waves and wind, bringing the typhoon for a direct hit on the town, with the epicenter on the Greek church, which now lies crumbled in flooded ruins. While the Party is nobly aiding with the rescue and rebuilding of the flooded Portlandio, one of the PC's Count Horukh the Silver (Larry) was ushered away (forcibly) to a secret location by a group of cowled monks, some sort of religious zealots flexing their power amidst the chaos of the flood scene. At this cliffhanger point, a new group of PC's was rolled and created at 1st level again, so far with only the nickname "PC2". These characters mostly began their adventuring life during the typhoon event. Some of them met or endured tragedies and rescues. They formed a new party in Portlandio at first, and many of them met the original Challengers Of Destiny PC's, planting the initial seed for an affiliation: a League of good adventuring PC's. Shortly there arose several reasons why the new party wanted to journey 80 miles southeast along the ocean coast, to the town of Awa, and the old fort of Awa Avignon. That brings us to the current 1st-3rd level adventure, with the PC2 party. They are currently in the dungeons of Awa Avignon, fighting orcs including Earthbenders. Epic scale long-term adventure, world building & character development going up to higher levels. So, it continues to build on an epic, long-term adventure and world-ranging scale. This still has legs to continue adventuring for months. The group would love to have you back to play, Hans , anytime for a session or continually. Add us to your calendar if you would like to join back up, maybe make a new character.
Hans buddy, we sure do miss you, and really wish you were back.  In so very many ways RIGHT NOW.  *laugh* I am playing Sigma , a spectacularly strong Minotaur Ranger Pathmaker (AKA, a supertracker) whose best buddy is a young Fire Drake.  At this moment, Sigma is possessed by an evil item, underground in a mazelike environment, at pretty close to full HP, with a supernatural compulsion to destroy the party's lowest-HP character (the willowy elven witch), while in a populated and active dungeon with traps and undead and Much More. Meanwhile, Count Horukh has been kidnapped away from Portlandio at the time it needs him the most, and awful things are going to happen to him. But seriously Hans, you may not have been at the table with us, but in truth you were never really gone from us.
Thanks Larry, for the kind words. I will be playing in tomorrow's session, Gold and I just confirmed. Hopefully I'll be able to make a character by that time, if not we'll see if and as what I appear! I read there's a minotaur on the loose, so I'd better watch my step! I've read up on the january journals, going back to december now to catch up a bit on your recent adventures. What I've read so far sounds quite exciting!
Yes... Larry is always getting cursed/diseased/plagued/etc...
