Bison Migration

Slot 3 Following Sellion's lead, you soon come upon a young bull that has been separated from the herd.  He is standing by a small stream, drinking, seemingly completely unaware of your presence. //OOC Initiative.  Act based on the Island initiative rules found in the Missions Guide.

Sellion moves up, noticing the bull as he knocks an arrow, pulling it back into his bow and he lines up a shot, attempting get a shot at the leg to wound and slow it so it doesn't run off. Before letting the arrow loose, he instructs Kiba to sneak up on the beast as the small adorable Kiba slowly stalks her way through the grass as she moved up. He pulls back the bow string and lets the arrow fly loose, only to send it wizzing past as he misses the beast. " Darn.. I need to work on my archery.. " (( Sellion Init: 8, Attack: 8, Kiba Stealth: 20 ))

Frerin carefully raises and aims his crossbow. Then, he fires a bolt at the bison. Init 15 Attack 15+2 for 4+2 damage (+2s due to favored enemy, animal from Frerin)

\\ INIT 16 \\ Shinon pulled out her sword.  She was going to try and sneak up to the buffalo and get an attack in.  \\Stealth 6\\  She wasn't very sneaky as she came up though.  (Attack 11, Damage 2)  She took a try at the food to see if she could hit though.

The buffalo feels the bolt sink deeply into his shoulder and turns to find the source of the pain.  He whips his shaggy head around, seeing Shinon as he turns.  He hooks her with a horn, goring her badly and tossing her unconscious body to the ground. //ooc Attack 23, Damage 15.  Shinon rolls to stabilize on her turn.

(BISON will save 14 vs DC 16, falls asleep for 1 minute. INIT 15, Heal Check 23) Saisei prays to the earth below that Shinon would see her endeavour completed safely, but that was not to be. She sees the woman fly sideways as the ungulate blows her away. Saisei repeats what she did on the ship, only much more forcefully. She reaches out, and in perspective, holds the bison's head between her talon-pointed fingers. She then shove the beast's head into the ground. Reality follows suit, and the bison falls down. (Assuming combat over) Once the danger is over, she runs over and starts applying pressure to the wound, stemming the blood flow. In moments, the woman's breathing is more rhythmic. As she worked, she raises her voice, "It's out cold, not dead. Someone please slit it's throat, carefully." (OOC: Sleep Bison, move to Shinon, Assuming combat over: first aid with heal check 23.)

After mercifully finishing the young bison and stabilizing Shinon, you begin the process of butchering and preparing the meat for transport.  As night falls, the teamsters and laborers fromt he Outpost arrive and you all return together, for safety.  Shinon recovers quickly under Agela's care, and you are all congratulated all around the Outpost for a job well done.   This mission is complete.  You may continue posting for RP purposes if you wish. Frerin approaches the sleeping beast, and slits his throat. Afterwards, he checks on Shinon and assists Saisei on healing. oops, Ninja'ed by Kirby I'll take an Aurok's head and rolled a 1, so 2 meals.

(( Kirby, if we can Sellion isn't going to butcher the animal here, he is wanting to find a way to transport the WHOLE animal back to the settlement. If that is not possible then he isn't going to just butcher the meat. He is skinning it, taking the meat, taking the bones, taking EVERYTHING. ))

Shinon hurt bad.  She was lucky to be alive still.   Thank you Saisei for healing me.   She said with a small smile as she fell back asleep.  \\I'll take C myself.  And Kirby did the Bison crit or something?  That one hurt!!!!\\

Sellion is relieved to see the animal fall asleep as they ended it without suffering. " There.. now that the Bison is killed.. let us prepare it for transport. We can have it transported as is.. or we can start cutting it up now. Either way.. we are taking back everything, fur, meat, bones, everything.. only thing that should be left behind is a little blood. "  (( I will take the minor healing poultices as well ))
