Using tilesets from marketplace in other projects

Hi everyone! Today I have found this wonderful marketplace with all those cool tilesets. I would really like to buy few of them and use in video game, which I am currently developing. But I'm a little bit concerned with legal side. Does anybody know if I'm allowed to do this? Or I can buy them only for non-commercial use (to play roll20)? Thanks!

I recommend reviewing the Marketplace Asset EULA , speaking to the Roll20 Dev Team at team@roll20.net and, if all goes well, contacting the author(s) of the Marketplace assets you're interested in acquiring for any non-personal, non-Roll20 (or commercial) purposes. Otherwise, you might look into privately commissioning some art from the Marketplace content creators.

Silvyre has it right in what you need to do. Read the EULA and talk to the Roll20 Dev Team. You best choice, in my opinion, is to ask to communicate with the artist of your choice to open private communications about commissioning their artwork. That is your best option to protect you from any legal problems that might stem from using licensed assets without legal consent issued by the artist.

You will find that all the artists here would be very upset if you used them without their permission. Speaking for DramaScape, we would take legal action against someone who used our products in a commercial product without our permission. Commercial licence to use products tends to be about 10 times the normal price of a product.

Hi Mikhail B. - please do email us if you have any additional questions. The EULA shared above should detail the rules, but you are welcome to email any additional questions. Since this has answered your question, I will close this thread. Thank you.
