Game day is currently set for Mondays (Feb 1, 8, 15, 22, 29...). Add to your calendar: The above dates, usual start time 2:05PM Central USA. Time converted for your Time Zone is listed on the campaign details main page. RSVP Regrets Only: Post here if you will be unable to attend, from week to week. Chris is in the process of settling in a new place and work, he has said he will play when he is able. We continue playing the Winter Sessions, heading back to snow-socked Portlandio! The full character roster is written and updated on the main page of the game, just above the forum. Dragon Magazine #140 cover is a famous wintertime D&D illustration by Larry Elmore, painting titled: Avalyne The Life Giver. Players take note of this. :D
Hello everybody, I want to apologize for my absence last week! I'm very very sorry for not attending, and not even leaving a message. I regret to say the reason is as stupid as that I forgot about the game. I had some really, really big news that day that is quite life-changing, that's probably why I forgot. Today I realized it was D&D night, and that I had missed last week. Unfortunately, I have to add that I won't be able to attend tonight either :( I feel really, really bad about this. Tonight is because the whole family has fallen ill, and I need to take care of them. I hope you have a great session and that my absence will not spoil anything. Best regards, Hans
Hans, we will trudge through the snow without you but you will be there with us in spirit. We are very sad that your family is ill! Write to me to let me know if there is any way I can help. Maybe you can listen in on Discord, even if you can't play. Your personal audiobook!
Fortunately we can get a good recording.
I recorded the stream, I will upload onto youtube today, so you can watch when you want.

Stream on.. Thank you Aepod . I want to zone out and watch/listen. Did your own voice remain as the only voice that didn't come through, as Eddyall found in the pre-game test? Here is a theme song remade for us, if you can recognize this Aerosmith cover, Yeah, stream with me, stream for the year Stream for the laughter, stream for the tears Stream with me, just for today Maybe tomorrow, the good Lord will take you away Stream on Stream on Stream on Stream until your dreams come true Schedule attendance updates: This is all fine. This is life. When someone needs to miss D&D, we just play on with those who can play that day, and look to hear from our other PC's next session. -- Hans checked in, saying he had to miss this week and last. He hopes to be back to play next Monday. Thanks Hans, look forward to playing D&D with you again soon. Friar Hugo has remained present in the party as a background character and we had him take a few actions so Hugo will get half-XP for the 2 sessions. 2 weeks back Hugo encountered and dialoged with Yuki-Onna the spirit of freezing death, on Hugo's watch shift in the night. This recent session Hugo approached 2 strangers laying in the snow, one was dead and the other was an elf cleric named LifeGiver who was expending her last healing spell to raise her Fighter companion to stable (0 HP). Hugo came along at the right time to cast another Healing spell that brought the fighter to 6HP and got him on his feet to avoid frostbite. -- Chris is in a transition that's taking longer, he was able to drop in Discord and listen to part of our recent session. Chris hopes to return to gaming in a few weeks from now and will let us know. Wei-Ting was also used in the game session, he talked to a Xaren (relative of the famous D&D monster called a Xorn if you want to look it up). The party opted to feed the Alkarg spear to the Xaren, which melted the magic spear into a liquid slurry and it drank the slurry sending it to the elemental plane of Earth, away from the Prime Material Plane of homebrew world. -- Anyone heard from Paul ? Reaching out to him, really miss this guy, he's been absent the last couple sessions. We kept the PC Rajhad in the background, it hid in the wagon or went off looting on its own. P.S. Silk voiced the Hill Giant Norrik In case anyone missed this fact --- that was our very own RainbowSilks who voiced the sort-of cockney Hill Giant named Norrik and its wintery-wolf companion, in the recent game session! We thought that would be a nice surprise, having a Player give voice to an NPC/monster. Did you love that? As DM, I was highly entertained. NOTE: (Especially to the attention of SolidHybrid ). Norrik's clues about the Steading Of The Hill Giant ... was actually a side-story and red herring, more than a lead, for you. Those famous modules ("Against The Giants" G1, G2, G3) are happening in the homebrew world, some 300+ miles to the East, as Norrik revealed. There is a swelling and gathering of Giants who are building up forts and connecting with other evil powers. It is not intended that the current party undertake this adventure hook. Not anytime soon, in fact not even in this campaign trajectory at all unless you strongly want to go. You can go there but it's not expected. DM is trying to present the fact that there are OTHER adventuring parties in the world, doing other adventures at the same time as you. Some other party can go and face off Against The Giants. Some of our Players have played through those before. The contest is for us to have the best, most epic and heroic adventuring party of all. We'll probably play different adventures I have in-mind to offer on the same level & scale as Against The Giants.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RNMS0nYuPSs My voice did work this time, perhaps a little too quiet, but its there and audible. If you have any suggestions for description, links, text on the video etc.. let me know before you share it, I will adjust and then you can post it.
Hey guys, here is the "Anyone heard from Paul?"..... I have been very immobile the last 2 weeks a.k.a., hospital bed bound. My back has gone horribly wrong, sadly I can keep up with college in bed but not d&d (hospital isp go figure). Anyhow, I am home and hope to know why things are so much worse now, both with the back and arm on the 12th... anyway, I will see/hear you guys Monday 2/15. Also, I am very sorry for not letting you guys know, or even thinking about d&d, health takes priority, as much as I wish differently. By the way, notice the effects of College Keyboarding? I capitalize and use punctuation now ha ha ha :)
@paul I hope you're healing well. Take a look, we have yesterdays session recorded, so you can at least keep up with that week. It will be nice to see you back, the party has been a bit lean the last couple weeks.
Hey Paul, when you're stuck & bored, remember https://www.mediafire.com/folder/29u34p41un453/Books is there for you. I added an audiobooks section. Download what you want, OK? I wish we could lay a Heal Serious Wounds on you.

Just to let you know, I will be available to play today. My wife is out for the first while though (should be back one or two hours into our session at most). If in the meantime my son wakes up, I will have to go to him and get him back to sleep (which usually takes 15-30 mins). So if I stop responding, that's where I'll be and I'll return asap. But I'll let you know when that happens anyway. I will be putting my son in bath and to bed an hour from now, so I will not be online much before we start playing. If you need me to sort anything out, or respond to any events, please send me a pm or post a link here to relevant posts. I will try to get it all done before we start playing. Sorry sorry sorry, life is hectic these last weeks! I am not as engaged as this campaign deserves, but I'm really glad you have been patient with me so far. It will settle soon, I hope. I just have a lot of practicalities to work out at the moment, and my health has been better, so D&D is suffering unintentionally.
Guys, been planing to move this weekend, didnt mention it cause it was supposed to be done by sunday night. sadly life does not agree. my provider can not get me hooked up until March 7 :,( so no internet for me. worse for the wife who is doing online courses :/ but it may not bee so long, depending on cancellations you will know as soon as i do.

Thanks for the notification, Paul . Good luck with moving! Hit us up once they turn on your new internet. Sounds like you are likely to miss the last session in February and the first week of March. If you see this message in the meantime -- can you think of any upgrade items that Swargen or Rajhad wants? Do they have wealth to spend? Would they want new upgraded armor, or weapon, or shoes, or any certain kind of potions or items? Asking because there are shops coming up in-game, this week & next week, to convert your GP treasure into more useful items if desired. We could play that out for you, do your shopping for you. We can even spend Rajhad's wealth, even if the halfling is retiring.
I will not be able to attend today's session, or at the very least be late. I will be stuck at work until at least 8pm, which means I'll be home at 9:30pm earliest (game time is 9:05pm for me). I will probably be too tired to play, but if I have some energy left I will join you on Discord and see what's what. There is a possibility I will not be able to attend every other Monday in the near future. This will be a problem. I will mention it further once I have more certainty.
