2 new players looking for a group and gamemaster - Swedish RPG Drakar och Demoner.

  We have noticed that there are many swedish players on these forums nowdays... so My wife and I thought we were going to try and find a group to play a swedish roleplaying game, Drakar och Demoner with, in swedish.   We speak English and Swedish fluently, but my wife is more comfortable with swedish.   However, my wife is rather new to roleplaying, and I am not that experienced in Drakar och demoner either... so we would prefer if anyone else was the "SL" (speledare/ gamemaster).   As we live in sweden, we are in GMT +1 timezone (but in summertime).   So yeah, if you are interested, send us a PM or reply here!   We now have an SL / GM!

Wow finally someone who wants to play this game. I am Norwegian but understand Swedish decently, more or less :) Depending what version of Drakar och Demoner you are talking about and day I might be very interested. I prefer the 4th version. Altough would like to play the last version as well since I have never played it, 6th or 7th version? The one set in Trudvang. But I want to be a player and not a SL/GM.

I think I bought most of the books for the Trudvang setting. Now I gotta get them next time I visit my mother... Live in a small apartment so not prioritized getting those books here yet. Love the drawings though. It seems pretty different from all the other DoD versions rulewise. Allright we need a SL/GM and set to go! Hm.. Banemann seems very interesting for me.. :-) Or try the spell system.. hm..

Well, hello there! An old friend of mine, who also happened to be the one to start this thread (what a coincidence!) said something about a DoD-group searching for a GM... And I so happened to be looking for a group. So, if 10 years of DoD-GM and player experience and the entire library of DoD:6 books are to your liking, I think you have your GM. (No, I am not boasting. DEFINATELY not boasting. Okay, maybe a little... sorry about that.) Anyhoooo... Whaddya say?

Aye sounds good! I got games playing on wedendsdays and saturdays but depending on game time I am so game. Time for me to read up on DoD 6 version. Not done that yet.

Splendid! I am open for suggestions for at which time, and what kind of adventure you want to play! I myself neither am very good for playing on wednesdays, nor thursdays. Some fridays may take a hit, due to my involvment in a LARP-group, but otherwise, I'm free.

Hm generally speaking I like weekends best. Fridays? Maybe start at 6-9 PM(18.00-21.00) or later depending when you guys got time. I know you cant play every friday but most fridays would do it for me. Weekdays are more tricky for me due to work and practice. What do you guys say Tengu? I must admit I have a strong attraction for rogue like character(banemann) or swordmage kind of character. I gotta read up on how the spell system works in version 6. But generally speaking I am game for anything really.

I'll look up on fridays, may be our best choice. And about magic systems: You gotta choose if you want to roll with the one in the core rulebook (DoD6:rev) or in the magic book. The magic book are more complex, but sometimes more rewarding, while the core is very basic.

  Fridays are ok for me and Amanda I guess :)   The dude who contacted me through a PM didnt answear anymore though, so I guess he's out.   But Amanda and I are game :)   However, Manda needs some help with her character.   Hon verkar vilja spela Jägare.

This all sound really interesting! I to live in Sweden and I would love to try DoD. At the moment my life is a bit unsure as I don't know if I shall begin my studies at a universitety next week but I would love to stay in touch until I know more exactly what is going to happend in the future for me. When I know how my life will look the comming months I would love to try to get down to playing some DoD.

Sounds cool andervall. Very nice Tengu. Northspear you can make a campaign and invite us guys? I got no clue what magic system we should use. Maybe we dont want magic users? Anyhow we can discuss it when a campaign is up. I also liked the dwarven tunes/tatoos system.

I'm kinda new to this page. In fact, before Tengus message I didn't have a clue it existed, so I might need some help with getting the details in order. If you have skype, you can add Viking-Otaku (me), so we can keep a more consistent discussion. It will be preferrable for character creation and such. I also have a word-document containing shortened-down info on religions, cultures and world regions, which I would prefer you to read before creating a character. On another note, welcome andervall! I don't  mind another player more than anyone else here, so feel free to tag along!

I'm sure everyone has gotten my invites by know. I also made a "character" and a "game request" forum thread for you. Feel free to spam them with comments and requests.

I'd say four players makes perfect. Welcome aboard, Max!  However, I think we'll have to put a stop to more players there.
