Viggo is eyeing a row boat in the market.  Margot: Really? you are going to drown in that heavy armor. Viggo: I can swim, besides the rumor is, that it is in shallow water. I am not dumb. I won't go alone. Hard to row and fight at the same time.
SCOURGE SWIM VERY GOOD, PUDDLES MAKE SWIM BETTER.  Scourge approaches with a small ratfolk trailing behind her
Greetings Scourge and .. Puddles. Do you think anyone else is interest in this treasure? It would be better to work with them instead of against.
Puddles speaks up, I highly doubt anyone else is planning on diving down there, especially with..uhh....her.....  He looks up at scourge, and then back to the dwarf.

A woman nearby is heard shouting, "Harpoons, nets, an other fishing supplies for sale! Replace yer old worn gear or start a new career as a fisherman!"
Hello, we are thinking about taking a boat out to the shallows [location details], do you think all of this is needed?
SCOURGE reveals a large trident-like weapon, and looks to the dwarf.  YOU GET BOAT, I TAKE TO COAST.
With a smile, nod, and a thumbs up, ok, I want to hear her out first. ooc: is fine with getting to the coast, but would like more intel. Happy to move on immedietly after the sellers reply.
"What is it yer planning ta do in the shallow? If yer fishin ya may want some rods an nets. If yer after bigger fish, so ta speak, I might intrest ya in some harpoons," she says in accented common. "Fish'n nets are 4, harpoons 5."
I am more interested in the bigger fish, I will take a harpoon. hands over 5 gp  OK grab the boat and head out, I already paid for it.
SCOURGE picks up the boat, and, holding it on one shoulder, follows you to the coast.

The party gathers their belongings, gets a boat and heads out, traversing waves until they hit the calmer waters. They will have to steer the boat using landmarks on the shore to find the location of the shining objects that can be seen below the surface in the clear shallow water. // Diving a character can move their swim speed or make a swim check for progress as if through rough terrain. The shiny objects are 100 feet down at the bottom. This means they must double move holding their breath for 100 feet until they reach the bottom. They can track their depth using blue circle and you can have them take all their turns at once to get down. They should track rounds they spent to get to the bottom and consider the checks for  drowning . To get back to the surface they can move at 2x their swim progress. Round 1 (Slot 3):

Before we start rounds of swimming, Puddles will give each person a potion of Touch of the Sea, which gives us a 30 Ft swim speed SCOURGE also has a long arm, and a shield up, as well as a mutagen from Puddles. ROUND 1: SCOURGE spends the first round using the run action to swim to the bottom. Puddles pulls out his umbrella, puts on his smoked goggles, and lays back in the boat.

Puddles you are amazing. Thank you.  Viggo still checks his air crystals are easy to reach if needed. Taking one before descending. Places his shield on his back and grabs a long spear. Harpoon at the ready. Margo Here is a weighted rope, throw it down if you think we need it. Hold on to the other end...but don't fall in your self. Margot: Don't make the old man cry again. Lots of fondness for Old Man in her voice. Viggo runs to the bottom with his awesome dwarf swimming powers. Margot starts chatting with Puddles.

SCOURGE reaches the bottom, and watches viggo follow behind. Drawing her tiger-fork, she swims towards the side of the Sunken Ship. Upon arriving she notices a sunken bit of debris with the ships name. Using her "vast knowledge of language", she manages to make out the name "Lark's Song" (18 linguistics) Puddles chats back, raising his "sunglasses" so he can look at her. So whoze the olde mann?
Margot: That's my husband. I made the mistake of falling in love with a human. It is easy to forget their lives are so short for a while.
Seeing the ship, and the container, SCOURGE turned to viggo, and gestured to both. Viggo responded by gesturing that they stay together. In response, they both swam towards the ship.
SHARKS!!!! Two sharks are agitated as you begin to explore the ship further and they both swim their hiding places amongst the rubble, heading toward you. // If you can both post during this slot, great. If not, we will start with Slot 1 at 1am EST

SLOT 3 (maybe): SCOURGE floats behind viggo, tiger-fork in hand. Waiting for a shark to close-distance, she taps Viggo on the back, and gestures for him to hold position. (OOC Held action to attack first shark to close range, 21 to hit and 21 damage at 15 Ft reach) (AOO is nat 20 into 26 to confirm, 77 damage from the crit )

Slot 3: viggo readys to attack if they approach. (Has reach with long spear). Readied action 18 to hit and 5 damage or ten if the shark charges (brace) AoO 19 to hit and 9 damage (will increase the attack roll to 20 if the 18 misses) ooc: my slot 1 posts have regularly been right at the end or a few min late.
Slot 3: One of the sharks swims straight for Viggo and Scourge and gets stuck with Viggo's spear before Scourge punctures it's head with her tiger-fork. The shark immediately goes limp. The other shark doesn't notice as it is heading in the direction of a rowboat on the surface.
SLOT 1: in advance SCOURGE notices the shark, and charges after it. (hitting with a 29, and dealing 22 damage)
Margot: Puddles ,  How did you end up here and with Scourge? You must have traveled far. ooc: perception 12 (take 10)

Puddles: Ive known her and the others for quite a long time. Scourge is someone iv'e worked with before, and when she sent a letter back on the kelpie, nobody but me really wanted to deal with her OR the halfling. So I left our little monastery and traveled here. ooc: perception of not paying any attention.
Margot smiles at the thought of Scourge in a little monistary. Which briefly distracts her from worrying about the deep water.
Ben H. said: (Charge 60' if possible otherwise double move) // You have a swim speed, so I don't see why you couldn't charge since you move as normal. Go ahead and roll the attack, and I'll just wait until you have to do this slot since it's the last shark anyway.
moving in water is like moving in air .. except opposite .. so you can't charge flying up you can't charge swimming down .. even with a swim speed.  If you are able to charge when flying up then you could charge while swimming down.   For example Flying up makes you move at half speed and needs a DC 20 Fly check to go STRAIGHT up though.

Edited 1456320753
if you can run while swimming why couldn't you charge while swimming? We are swimming up to the shark anyways.
1456320614

Edited 1456320670
you can't run while swimming down without using the rules for running while flying up.  It is basically treated like difficult terrain You are fighting buoyancy

Slot 1 (charge up!) Viggo deftly swims at incredable speed and stabs it! //26 to hit for 12 damage.  If shark provokes an AoO 19 to hit for 6 damage (let me know if used so I can spend the 2 stamina) Edit: edited as charging and token was more clear and I had access to VTT
Viggo was dragged over incorrectly .. use the journal and pull the name from the journal listing and NOT from the open character sheet.

// Okay, so I guess from now on you would need to do a swim check to move vertically. For now we will just apply things as they went. I just made getting down to the bottom too easy! Slot 2: The shark swims up 60 feet and is just under the boat. // Make AOO rolls before it attacks the boat.
SCOURGE deals the final blow as the shark swims past, slamming her tiger-fork into it's gills, and tearing out a huge chunk of flesh. ((AOO 22 to hit, 25 damage))

Slot 2 Seeing the the sharks defeated Viggo swims back down as his air supply and swim buff is still active. swimming down, at speed 30, i make it 30 feet in one round (difficult terrain slowing him down). It should take 3.5 turns to reach the bottom. edit: seeing as I was not at the surface I can reach the bottom in 2 rounds! I believe I am 75' down after taking a double move in slot 2.
// To swim down, it follows the same rules as flying up. You move at half speed and must make a DC20 swim check to go straight down. To not go straight, I have no idea what the check would be, but I'll find out if you wish to try a less direct approach.
// we both have a take-10 on swim thats high enough to get a 20, it takes us a few rounds, but we get back to the bottom
// Awesome, just keep keeping track of those rounds for not-drowning purposes! It's pretty much back to free-roleplay at this point, but we'll keep track of rounds whenever you move.
SCOURGE goes to help Viggo lift the object to the boat, or take the lock off and loot it if needed.
If we can lift it we should take it to the boat. While the buff is up.
OOC: the buff will last a few minutes, which is like 20 rounds well have it by then, and if not, we can just have scourge try to swim it

Ooc: ok, We should explore the sunken boat first, as i have limited air supply. Bringing the chest up shouldnt be a problem with your buff and holding my breath. Viggo points to sunken boat and mimes searching.
OOC: Agreed SCOURGE swims towards the boat, wary of any more aquatic creatures.
Viggo follows, looking for trouble. take 10: perception 17
SCOURGE spends a few rounds scouring the ship (Perception of 21) and then points viggo to return to the object

Viggo searches the shadows for more wonders. How many rounds? Rolled max on first perception: 27 (7 rounds underwater if i counted right)
1456433738

Edited 1456433962
There is not much left on the ship that is still of any immediate value. You make your way through the hold, as is the obvious place to find anything of worth, but the majority of objects are either waterlogged or rusted through. Your tour through the rest of the ship turns up nothing either. You get the feeling this is a wasted effort.  However, the last place you check, inside the captain's cabin, you find a fine harpoon hanging beside the door that actually appears to somehow be in working condition. // MW Harpoon // Considering a round is something like 6 seconds in combat terms, let's do a little fudging. I'll say it would take 7 rounds to search the ship. If you need to go up for air in between I suggest doing so.
1456434261

Edited 1456434705
Seeing no threats in the wreck, Viggo takes the suggestion to get the box. Ooc: I really want the swim speed to move the box up, in case it is heavy or holds something dangerous. If this all works safely we can search until we find everything then open the box.
1456435832

Edited 1456441856
OOC: agreed, lets work on that SCOURGE moves over and tries to lift the box up to the boat (if its a STR check i got a 22, if its a swim, i got higher)
