how about using a app like Mumble or some other voice app for voice chat?
roll20 has inbuilt voice
yeah but it doesnt always work great. someone had me add ventrilo for another game which is great. its a push-to-talk program
I'm good with using a third party voice app. There are some issues with the in game one that are very annoying.
i am looking forward to the game tomorrow afternoon. i dont like roll20 audio. can we use something else? edit: should we use skype?

Actually yes, i found skype has push-to-talk in tools > options > advanced > hotkeys
i guess Skype would work well, and im so looking forward to the game :)

LFR character creation rules for those who wanted to look at them.
Thanks, i'll browse Was a great game. Sad I hardly used any of my items or my daily powers. we only had 1 fight. 6 players (with a bonus thrall) we just slayed everything
you have to admit tho with 25k starting gold we were really over powered :)
utility wise, i think we where probably on-par with normal gold + magic items of our level & +&- a level.

a Wood elf twin sword ranger from the remnants old elven kingdom Earlann in High Forest, i havnt quite worked out why she is in Waterdeep but im gettin a good idea of what she is like in my head, there could be some good plot hooks with the old Netherese, or the retaking of Earlann
Shes one of those wood elves who loves adventure, a follower of Mielikki, shes some what well playful with the younger races (even though she is just a child by elf years), she will generally help people out tho rules are very secondary

I'm leaning towards making a Battlemind|Warlock hybrid, though the specifics would depend on what the final character creation rules end up being.
I found out the theme i used, blackstaff apprentice, is waterdeep related. it is a tower magic school located close to the entrance to undermountain

i think we can invest a fair bit, but its generally good to run the core concept and major details by the DM, so he can incorporate them into the campaign or make suggestions for alterations

The weapon comes from the Unseelie Agent Theme - it's not actually a magic weapon (see "Create Shadow-Wrought Weapon" power). If you want I can ditch the consumable, but it only cost 20gp. Your call. Sidenote: are we going to be able to retrain multiple things per level (as with Living Forgotten Realms) or just one?
Ah, that's cool. So you're good then. If you're going with the LFR loot system you can retrain like LFR. If you're going with the normal loot system you can only retrain once per level.

Ah sweet. I didn't realize we got to choose between the two systems. I'll go with a LFR build and update my sheet to make sure it's LFR legal. Since the ominous signs plot hook is limited to divine characters, I'll go with the hired muscle one. My guy however will be going for his own reasons - as a revenant of the Raven Queen (via Kelemvor, her proxy) he'll be subtly compelled to investigate anything dealing with the Lord of Undeath...
