Hey there, Since most of this information would be the same regardless if I made a new topic or not, I decided to bump up my old one. First and foremost, I want to thank Ven for being my co-dm for this project. Now, he must retire due to real life concerns and I am looking for a new Co-DM to assist with my game. I am trying to run a Battle Century G game based around the Gundam Build Fighters series. First, I will go into the backstory I had planned for this game before talking about the current situation. The near future. Years after the huge "Gunpla"-plastic models based
on the anime series Mobile Suit Gundam-boom of the 1980s. A second
Gunpla boom is taking the world by storm, fueled by the revolutionary
new ability to pilot your own Gunpla creations in "Gunpla Battles "
Thanks to the introduction of Plavsky Particles, plastic models were
able to be controlled with such precision as the animes that spawned
them. While Japan is considered the birthplace of Gunpla, the rest of
the world has also caught onto the craze of building and battling
Gunpla. There are even schools around the world focused on it.
Grand Gunpla Generation Preparatory School in New York City
was one of the first schools in the United States to have a strong focus
on gunpla design. It was once considered the leader of the pack and
paved the way for other schools to follow. However, that was several
years ago. The once prestigious institute has fallen on hard times and
is currently slated to be closed down after this year. The board of
education is already starting the process of redistricting the area to
divide the student body around to the other schools nearby. However,
there has been one vocal proponent to this action. Callie Fairchild, a
former GGG Alumni and a woman said to be on par with the Lady Meijin,
the best female gunpla battler in Japan. Furthermore, her little sister,
Julia Fairchild, is among the last class of GGG and the leader of their
school's gunpla team. Thus, the two sisters are gambling the fate of
the school on their ability to form a team capable of reaching the World
Championships.
This game will be using the final version Battle Century G
System with a few house rules added in to make it fit better with the
Gundam Build Fighters Universe. You can download the reference sheet
here: <a href="https://www.dropbox.com/s/q68vx4lxs9lnvmd/Battle%20Century%20G%20System%20Reference%20Document.pdf?dl=0" rel="nofollow">https://www.dropbox.com/s/q68vx4lxs9lnvmd/Battle%20Century%20G%20System%20Reference%20Document.pdf?dl=0</a>
If you want to support the creator and buy the full version you can do so
The main intention is for this to be a two team game so there
are certain requirements depending on which team you make a character
for.
Those joining Julia must have characters of high-school age
and at some point in their history be students at GGG Prep. They could
have gone there for all of middle and high school or they could be a
late transfer who just found out too late that they are likely to be
transferred again. The gunpla battle team hasn't won a single regional
or national tournament since Callie attended. They have skated by on
gunpla building contests but other schools with better facilities have
been siphoning talented people away. Julia is now scrambling to get a
viable team together even as many think it won't make any difference.
Julia's team wiil be participating in the 19 and under school division
of the Gunpla Tournament.
Callie's team is more open. While it would help your case if
you had a vested interest in keeping the school open, that is not a
major requirement for joining. Due to her skills and connections, Callie
has secured herself a wild card spot in the next national tournament.
Since she doesn't want people to say that she was the only competent
person on the team, she is choosing to act more as a coach than an
active member. She wants to show the world that the knowledge she gained
from GGG Prep can guide anyone to the World Stage. Thus she has been traveling the country after starting in
Los Angeles, California for the G-Fest Expo, the largest Gunpla
Convention in the US, to go talent hunting for people.
This was the idea I had but the more I thought about it, the more I realized that I couldn't do this by myself. Especially since I already DM another game on roll20. That is why I am looking for a CO-DM to help out. I am currently taking Julia's team while the CO-DM takes the Callie's team. We could bounce ideas off each other and occasionally have events in one story plot influence events in the second. The game I DM myself would take place on Monday Nights from 8 pm to 11 pm EST. When Ven was in charge, we had the two games running at the same time so that when we were ready, we could do a joint venture without worrying about scheduling conflicts. I would like the other GM to to be available at this time too For the record, Callie's Team is currently on Hiatus till we find a new DM. We have 3 players in my team and 2 from Callie when Ven was in charge. We use Discord as well. If anyone is interested in helping out, please post here and we can talk about our plans.
