Linking to other journal entries within journal entry (like a wiki)

I think that having an ability to link from the description of one character to another, or from one handout to another would be really useful. It would be like a wiki. Here's an example: You have a character description link to a city he was born, and clicking that link would open up a handout about that city. The syntax for linking doesn't need to be complex, just have [[ ]] designate the link, so in edit mode it would look like [[Name of handout]] or [[Character's Name]] or something similar, once saved it would be replaced with a blue link that opens up the entry it's linked to. Having this feature would open up all kinds of possibilities, like having a multi-paged document as a handout by linking to the previous and next pages, or using the links to describe a family relations between characters. This is my first time posting a suggestion, so I'm really sorry if I've done something wrong, or if this have been suggested before.

I like the idea! I wonder whether it would be better to have the links open a new window, or change what the current window is looking at?

Having it open in the current window would reduce the clutter on the screen, but then it would be kinda useful to have a button to go back to the previous page. Adding that extra button would require some additional programming, because you have to remember all the pages the player visited.

It would be indeed. I often wish I could go from doubleckliking a tocken quickly to open its Sheet. You could simply link it in the description boxes for example. The abillity to create plot overview pages with links to NPC entries and handouts would be fantastic.

Hold Alt while double-clicking the token, and if it's linked to a character in the journal, you'll open the token's character sheet instead of their token data window.
