RP; Commemoration

After the incidents with the rebels and the loss of Lydika, Syvil has spent most of his time holed up somewhere and keeping out of sight. But on the third day he emerges and can be seen walking into the Lodge of Light. He spends that day in meditation, dedicating it as a time of thanks for the miraculous rescue. Once the moon has passed its highest point he gets up and staggers out. He returns at dawn; carrying a red hot metal trinket that glows in the gloom. And as the sun peeks above the horizon he comes to stand before Cain... This... This is for you. As thanks, as a reminder of the bond we share and as gift of hope; for the sun to rise anew. And he hands over the scorching hot metal; it is a cross in the shape of a flaming sun on a metal chain. While chain seems not to have been recently made the metal crucifix is indeed just out the smithy and so hot it leaves marks on the leather of Syvil's gloves. And yet, when Cain takes it in his hands, it is quite cool to the touch; though a haze of heat can be seen rising between his fingers. On the back, around the hole in the middle is inscribed: Tolo na Naur - "Come to the Fire" I have asked my Lady to place her blessing on whoever wears this, may it aid you as you did me. And see; the inscribed words blaze with an ember red and for a moment it is as if a fire burns in the circle and the metal again glows as if red hot but without warmth, for it will not burn those of good, but rather smite down evil.
Cain stares at the symbol for a moment unsure why it is not burning his hand. He looks at the custom tabbard he has made of the symbol of his home the red cross and at the center of it and the symbol of the suns at the cross of it. He asks Syvil if he can use a strand of his hair and tests it against the metal to see if it will burn away. Strange thing you have brought to me Syvil I do say even hairs do not burn from it but yet I see the heat rising from it. Even stranger yet it comes very close to the new tabbard I have made recently. I also am planning on building a holy symbol that will allow me to use a divine aura from the avatars thank you friend this is perfect.
