LFP: Wheel of Time (d20), UTC-6 (MDT), about 3-5 more players- at least 1 Female preffered, Fri or Sat evenings, bi-weekly

Knowledge of WoT and/or d20 helpful, but not necessary.  Would like at least one female character, preferably a magic-user (channeler).  In my experience, men have difficulty playing women properly.  Hey, there's always exceptions, but that's the way I see it.   This will be a long-term game.  Starting characters may be gestalt.  Single-class characters will receive starting bonuses.   Other details?  Ask away!
This sounds really interesting.  I enjoyed the books a lot.  I couldn't do Saturday evenings but I would be up for Friday.  What time frame roughly are you looking to start this up?
Next couple of weeks or so, depending on availablity, participation, getting players, etc.  I'll be setting up a lot this weekend and want to get some characters made soon.  I have another I play in next weekend and I need the prep time anyway before I start.  I'd love to have you!

I would be interested in playing WoT. I have the rule book for this setting, but I could never find a group that was RP enough to make the setting fun. I am a big fan of the series, and I have used various rules and things from the setting to add color to other games.  I am very familiar with the d20 system, having played and GM'ed it since release. I may also have a friend that would be interested in joining with me. Fridays or Saturdays work fine, with Fridays probably being the better night.  I do not currently have a character concept, but I will have one quickly if you accept me in. This would also be my first game on Roll20, short of a little test module I did with a friend. EDIT:  I am UTC-5 (CDT), so time conflict should be minimal with mountain time.
Oh, this is really interesting. But I haven't yet read the end of the series and I don't want to spoiler myself, and in a game like that that can happen rather quickly. :(
I could offer you an Aes Sedai and her Warder/bonded Asha'man depending on where and when you're setting the game.  My wife and I have been looking for a WoT game to play in -forever-. I'd need to know when it runs (not available mondays/wednesdays/fridays), which exact system you're using, generation rules, that sort of thing.
@ Finni:  My first time GMing on Roll20, so we all have a learning curve.   @ Quatar:  I haven't read the last book yet.  The campaign starts in Caemlyn as Logain is paraded through and the heroes are on a divergent path so will only encounter world-wide happenings and the like.  Spoilers are unlikely. @Ash and Rel:  Warders, Aes Sedai, and Asha'man are all Prestige classes.  We will be starting at level one.  That being said, I would love an Initiate, especially played by a woman.  As I stated before, it can be troublesome for men to play women - I've only encountered one person who did it convincingly - and strong female characters are essential to WoT!  A friend of mine has expressed interest in playing a male wilder. There is no Black Tower, yet, of course, but an Armsman/Wilder gestalt who wants to train to be a Warder would be interesting:  The secret of being able to channel and actually working in the White Tower - the LAST place a male channeler would want to be.  What are his motivations for becoming a Warder and braving those consequences?  Does she know?  If so, you BOTH have a big secret with serious consequences.  I don't know if you were thinking along those lines at all, but that would be cool.  I like complicated. Okay, assuming you all are interested, I have 6, I believe.  I would be willing to hold out for another female, but we'll see.  There should be enough to have a go.  This is my first foray into GMing on Roll20 and I chose this because this is my favorite story (my oldest son is named Rand), everyone knows how to play d20, and I have a ready-made campaign through about 7th level.  It should be exciting and hassle-free.  I hope.  Well, we'll try our best, anyway. It seems that Friday night seems to be the most popular, so we will tentatively set the first adventure session for September 13th (I hope that's not a negative omen).  Perhaps it would help to have a session for just introducing ourselves to one another, getting characters put together, technical stuff, making sure we don't hate each other right from the jump, etc.  I am open to suggestions for availability.  If not I can just consult with you individually and we can work it out on the first session. If you are satisfied, please confirm with a private message and a character concept.  We can go from there.  I'll just leave this thread open in case I don't get enough or another female happens by.  If there's enough interest, I'll have a waiting list.
Change:  We will play Saturday nights, starting with Sept 14th.  Time TBD.  Every other week.  I have 4.  Could use a couple more.  A Noble would be cool.
Works for me, Jack!  Are you familiar with Wheel of Time? If so, PM me with a character concept and back story. If not, I can take some time to walk you through it at some point.  Maybe use a pre-made template based on the type of character you want to play.
Does your count include me and my friend, or just me? I will have him post on this thread after our session today. As of this moment, my concepts are torn between and Algai'd'siswai (which could be difficult to justify) and an Andoran Woodsman.
I'm planning on going with the armsman/wilder and once we work out her reasons for being out of the Tower (unless we're starting in Tar Valon I suppose) Rel will be playing an initiate.  She does request, if possible, she be able to play an Accepted instead of a Novice because, well, being a Novice suuuucks, and if she's already Accepted then it makes it more logical for her to be within striking distance of a few months-a year depending on what you've got planned, of being raised to Sister, instead of having the whole 5-15 years of tower training ahead of her.
I would love to finly play a WOT rpg, I just cant make the first game, heading on a big trip, may I still join?
@ Ash and Rel:  1st level assumes you are an Accepted.  Do you guys have the books?   @ Finni:  You could play either, but the Aiel would be tricky to start.  I might be able to make it work.  Your friend is welcome, too. @ Will:  I'm cool with finding a way to fit you in later.

Anyone who for sure wants to play:  PM me with character concepts!  I could use a Noble.  Even if you aren't familiar with the world, tell me what kind of character you want and we can tailor it.  No more male magic users, please. First come, first served!
Um, all I realy care to play in WOT verse is a chanaler, and as I am a dude....  This a deal breaker?
comon. everybody wants to be a borderlander. or perhaps a goldeneyes. if so. im completely for it
I would be interested. Only read the first book
May need a player or two yet.  The first session's tonight at 6pm my time.  May have 3 unable to make it, so if I could get someone ready to go it won't be a total wash.
I always wanted to play an Aiel Spearmaiden, but I dunno whats going on group wise or whatever
I'm interested, read all the books, but I'm not too familiar with the system, doing it on the fly shouldn't be a problem though, I've played things like pathfinder.
It's built off the SRD that Pathfinder is based-upon, so it will not be hard to learn.
Which was pretty much my point. hehe. But yeah, I'd like to play.
