Either purely for the purpose of copying them and then perhaps ran out of time to finish the job properly, or for whatever reason that is beyond me. I couldn't find anything to solve the cipher and didn't get close to finding the key text, so no thanks are due to me. Also, I saw this book in the house of Esteban... and so we have to assume that the Sithi cult might have been responsible for the copying or stealing or at least also been using this message of ciphering. I came across this one and it speaks of blood magic and rituals that allow to alter one's shape in an area that otherwise prevents magic. I am sure there are others out there and I can only hope that the only users where the Sithi cult, but alas, I fear there might be more parties that are interested in these matters. This book has been copied and I have not yet come across it. Neither have we found it in the hideout of the Sithi cult, so someone still has the possibility to use these, if it was not sunk on the boat that your friend apparently took care of. Whether the book is copied or not, keeping a Sithi blood magic book is no good for anyone and you're drawing some attention." says Beldak I will give this book to Ulrich as I assume his people are the ones that are best at keeping those kind of secrets away. I haven't heard anything from the Iron Fists regarding the box we gave to them, which means that information might have been more interesting than we thought.
