Kessai, Lizardfolk Prince

Edited 1467565191
Secondary character. http://orig09.deviantart.net/576d/f/2011/091/d/c/s... Hailing from the steamy swamps of Erethis, from the Iron Age lizardman empire of Ssirat, Kessai is a giant of a lizardman. About eight feel tall and the weight of two grown men, this brown mountain of muscle, scales, claws and teeth passes easily as a giant man-eating monster. Yet not exactly. Kessai, third heir to the throne of Ssirat, left his homeland and traveled far and wide due to curiosity and wanderlust, and he is remarkably friendly and curious, not really minding other races and easily making friends - well, when he is not attacked at sight or ran away from. And for a giant lizard monster, his manners are rather correct. Despite that, there is certainly ferocity in him. Trained as a warrior since about seven, he wields a polearm with speed, skill and monstruous strength, and he greatly enjoys battle and bloodshed, seeing it as honorable and as a true test of it's abilities. If you were to enjoy a mug of coffee (his favorite drink) with him, and ask him what is best in life, he would answer thusly (which would sum him pretty well): "Good friends. Decent conversation. A mug of good coffee. New sights every day. And blood on my hands, hard-earned battle scars, seeing my enemies driven before me, and glorious victory !" And then he would probably laugh. He's a bit like that, always enjoying his life. https://www.dropbox.com/s/6upbzwqp5h3ps14/Kessai%2...
Very cool! I was trying to build a Barb that'd run around with a minST26 dragonbone greatclub (7d crushing, risk breaking anything weighing 12lbs or less) but you've blown him right out of the water :P
Hmm. A few too many perks, but otherwise very nice.
Hmm, Mark does have a decent point, though I also know that we have ruled that as long as it's via quirk points you're able to purchase anything with GM approval. I was curious if you actually did need both Grip Master AND Reach Mastery to cut it down by 1. Also, while I know your Martial Artist is rather. . . impotent in the damage department, are you actually planning on using both Mighty Blows and AoA Strong as a method of overcompensation? Otherwise, I love him.
Anything? Need to go back and adjust a few designs then. The option to get 5 more combat perks, while severely stepping in the Knight territory, is too nice to pass up.
A Barbarian with Alcohol Intolerance?! 0/10. A Barbarian must always be able to hold his drink! Also, Shirtless Savage seems fairly popular. ;P

If he wants all those Combat Perks, well then he'll just have to wait until he gets 60-80 points in combat skills for the next one. Including any from Power-Ups.
Alright, gonna remove Mighty Blows and get him one more point in brawling. Because I'm not gonna waste all those points in natural attacks and Born Biter. Grip Mastery helps if i open up with a harpoon, so i can immediately ready my one-handed polearm. But I don't think Defensive Grip and Reversed Grip are that useful, so it's not the best perk. I was more planning to go AOA (Double) and go Rapid Strike with flurry of blows. Or even AOA (Double) with Mighty Blows. A Wild Brandon said: A Barbarian with Alcohol Intolerance?! 0/10. Oh it would definitely be useful for that purpose, but then again if you're far enough away to throw a harpoon, then you're probably going to be able to at least take a step and ready the next turn and not be too bad. Very close to affording another level of DR there as well.
Updated; Still missing the 5 points earned in last dungeon
