Four Potential Players LFG/DM 3.5

Two Long term players (one of which usually a DM, but lacks the time to do it at the moment) A second player looking to find a new campaign due to previous ones running too long A third player with mid-level experience that has an open time-slot. We're looking for a gametime maximum of 4hrs per session, minimum of once per week. All of us have pre-rolled characters, but would trust characters rolled along with a present DM for assured balance. I know it's frustrating, especially coming from players looking for a DM, but we would like that any DM playing with us be willing to engage in open-ended decisions; that is, no railroading the story so that it has to take specific paths. If we surprise you with a pseudo-unique solution to a problem you've offered us, please reward us for creativity rather than punish us for straying from a precreated adventure. Contact for player information or any other questions. Thank you.
I have a game that I'm about to start. It's a bit different from your standard game however. The game will be unique, due to the fact that the person you will be RPing will not be the person you play in the majority of the combat. Instead you will RP as one of the founders of an adventuring school/ludis style place. I wanted to find a way to incorporate the social stuff introduced in Unchained, as well as have a lot of character deaths, and this seems the be the way to go for the combination of the two. Your character is in charge of filling the space within the school with capable adventurers, hiring them, firing them, gearing them up, giving them missions, sending them to possible death in the arena, among other things. You will also be able to build buildings and add-ons to your adventuring school that will provide various bonuses. Meanwhile the character that you will be RPing as will be (mainly) behind the scenes. There still will be times where this character may see combat, but generally speaking your personal character will not seek combat, so you should build accordingly. Every character that is made will be required to take the squire feat (I'll modify the technical rules). The character you are playing as will level up, and gain fame/fortune for yourself as well as prestige for the school as a whole. When players leave the "adventuring school" or enter the arena each player is allowed to bring a single member of their roster.
That sounds interesting. I'll bring it up with the people I know to see their opinion on it.
Bumping this thread. Three players still looking, preferably 3.5ed. Fourth player remains up in the air.
