The party awakes in the Forbidden Palace to find that their situation has changed. Yolotomassi is missing, and has been replaced by Arthas and a now-living Eovan. Both archers have gaps in their memories, and cannot recall how they arrived at the Palace. Eovan in particular acts strangely, giving inconsistent answers and continually deferring to Elaryan. Bewildered, Malak flees into the city's mists. The rest of the party follows. They are almost immediately ambushed by lizardmen wights, and a ferocious undead hornbeast. The heroes are victorious, but most are severely wounded. The party decides to retreat back to the lizardfolk village There they learn that they have been missing for months, that the Zothians can only heal the most superficial of injuries, and that the body of Eovan-- which Malak swears they buried among the lizardfolk heroes-- is missing. Having received no answers, the party returns to city and takes once more to the rooftops They encounter Yakmar and Fezghul once again, but this time, brook an uneasy truce. Elaryan gives his magic staff to the undead sorcerer, in return for forgiveness for the wights they have killed (and the door they have broken). The party then retreats across the force bridge to the relative safety of the Aeromantic Infandibulum. Or so they think! After several minutes of wandering down poorly-lit aisles of arcane machinery, the party has been electrocuted several times, occasionally buffeted to the floor by the strange crosswinds that come and go without warning. They retreat to a corner of the tower to rest and regroup. Everyone who played gains 1,500 XP
