Malak Freed throws back the filthy curtain, to find Lor Si'Kink bound and gagged on a pile of pillows. The halfling has suffered a wound to his head, and is suffering from slight amnesia. Strangely, his memories from before the trip to Avernus are intact; it is only his recent memories that are foggy. He cannot recall how he got to Pythoness House, who wounded him, or where his beloved Xhotl is. Though Malak is suspicious, he unties Lor. Meanwhile, Arthas has succumbed to a strange disease; something about the manor has suppressed his normal immunity, and he is rendered immobile. The party decides that Lor should stay in the Pillow Room and tend to him, while Malak, Elaryan, and Eovan continue up into the manor's towers. The companions search the upper levels of the keep, fighting more undead, a two-headed mutant, and a powerful demon along the way. Eventually, they discover two halves of a magical disc inscribed with a crimson coil. This key fits perfectly into the statue of the fat man on the first level. When it is inserted, the statue slides away, revealing an icy shaft into a cavern below Pythoness House. The heroes descend, and dispatch the two minotaurs that guard the cavern, though Elaryan is rendered unconscious during the fight. After a swim through a freezing underground river, Eovan and Malak find a secret treasure chamber. The All-Key is here, as are several powerful Chaos Artifacts. Malak decides to leave everything but the key in the chamber, for he mistrusts such powerful chaos magic. However, he and Eovan do break down a magically sealed door to reveal a gargantuan clockwork hydra. The beast animates as soon as the door is removed, attacking the wounded heroes. Outmatched, they flee from Pythoness House. Everyone who played gains 4000 XP ⇚ The Strange Tale of... Thralls Well That Ends Well ⇛
