Hi everyone,
My name is Ben and I am a recov... uh ... returning role playing game addict.
Since my early RPG days quite a few years have passed, and now I am 33 years old and out of a group for the better part of 10 years or so. When I learned about roll20.net I figured this would be the ideal opportunity to try and find a group again.
We used to play everything we could get our hands on and I've racked up a lot of experience with games such as CP2020, Shadowrun, D&D (any edition that came out), Kult (I'm German), Paranoia (some of the funniest moments in my life), WoD (with real groups and also in MUSH settings) and also some Rolemaster and LOTR.
The extent of my RPG material used to be vast. Until I moved countries and lost two whole boxes in transit. All is gone except for some newer edition WoD stuff, some Cyberpunk 2020 material and my Kult books.
Game experience ranges from DMing to being a player. I did both extensively but have no particularly ingrained habits with both due to my rather long hiatus (10 years) from playing.
I am still very familiar with the etiquette and requirements for being a player and a DM but I probably lack all knowledge of current rule sets. I'd have to relearn those and even acquire some new books. Therefore, a patient group and DM is a must.
Regarding timezones, I'd prefer the EU timezone for any day of the week. However, in case of US timezones, I can go for groups that play during early morning or late evening hours on Fridays or Saturdays. This often allows me to be part of the group without having to stay up until 4am.
All I am looking for is a fun bunch that is willing to show a returning retro noob the ropes again. I'll bring the snacks.
