Hey there! I am a completely new player to tabletop gaming... never done it before! I'm looking for a small group of nice, helpful, patient people to help me get the hang of things. I am mostly looking for short campaigns or one-shots, but I am open to a longer campaign if the chemistry is right. I am also VERY open to just sitting in and watching a session go down! I haven't got any experience with any particular system, so I'm willing to give anything a go. I've been reading up on D&D 5e, though. I would rather not spend tons of bucks on books or anything until I decide what I like. I have plenty of experience with writing and role playing, just not with any of the dice/checks/general etiquette. I like fantasy settings more than sci-fi. I'm not super into vampires or werewolves and I can't stand zombies. I much prefer swords over guns. Important: I can only do text! Voice and video are a no-go for me, although I can see and hear others' streaming. I type very quickly, somewhere in the range of 80-100wpm depending on my concentration. I also like to think I have a good grasp on the English language, as far as grammar and spelling go. I haven't created any characters yet, or anything like that. I am a blank canvas.
