Playing in My Paragon Sessions Paragon tier is an exciting place, filled with dangerous foes, exotic locations and glorious deeds. Characters in paragon tier have powerful new abilities and a huge array of powers at their disposal, often usable or taking effect outside of their turn. This range and quantity of powers often leads to slower combats as more complex turns take longer to resolve and immediate and free action attacks start to litter the turn order. To help keep sessions moving I have the following rules, all of which are just good practice but will be enforced strictly at paragon. To play in my sessions you MUST be able to join and use the discord server. By far the best way of doing so is downloading the desktop application. ( https://discordapp.com/ ) If you insist on using the web browser page please make sure it works before the session. Msg me on skype and I’ll hop on discord to test. Also if you use the web page you may have to restart it in order to speak as for some users it mutes them after extended periods of not talking. You must have clear, functional macros containing all game relevant information. This includes but is not limited to: which type of bonus a power might provide, which order the effects of a power are resolved in, enough attack rolls to include all targets, must be concise enough to not fill that chat completely. When making your attacks you have 1 chance to state what your roll to hit and damage roll are. Please, pause, consider all possible options and tell me one number for each attack and damage roll. Once you have said this number I will not accept ‘oh I forgot this +X because Y’ I do not have time for that nonsense, we all do it but please remember your stuff. As an extension to this: for single target attacks I would really prefer if your macros in chat included all of your bonuses as in that case there should be no real excuse for not using ( +?{Damage Modifier|0} ) to include situational bonuses. Please pay attention to the game at all times, as your turn begins you should already have your turn planned out. When I call out your character name at the beginning of your turn it should be immediately followed by either what your character is doing or a relevant question. Also ending your turn with ‘End Turn’, or ‘I’m done’ or something would be very helpful.
