Show distance wenn moving tokens

As someone who uses roll20 occasionally to run skirmish-scale wargames, I have grudgingly accepted the need to use a grid or have someone else measure while I move in order to get movement distances right. What would be much preferred, however, is if there was a toggle-able option to show the actual distance on the tabletop that a token is being moved when dragging and dropping it in the main view. Alternatively, this could also be solved by allowing players to "pin" their ruler to the table, keeping it visible after they release the mouse button and thereby allowing them to move their tokens.

As a workaround: while measuring hit Ctrl+S to switch to the selection tool. The measurement will remain on your screen (and will remain on other people's screens for about 5seconds) until you measure again. - Gauss
Thanks for the suggestion Gauss. Though for future developement, I'd like to second the ability to show distance while moving a token.

Just a reminder, I am not a Developer, only a Moderator trying to help people use what is currently available. I generally do not comment on the suggestions themselves. :) - Gauss
I created a "ruler" token (a picture of a ruler) and placed it by the token I want to move. I would like to see a built in ruler while moving implemented.
Just fyi... <a href="http://blog.roll20.net/post/64388016499/finding-our-way-rugged-reroll-dev-blog-3" rel="nofollow">http://blog.roll20.net/post/64388016499/finding-our-way-rugged-reroll-dev-blog-3</a>
That is perfect, only thing left after that is the ability to make tokens visible for some players but not others. I am thinking of using the program for hosting miniature wargames online. Is that upcoming as well? (I'm checking the rugged reroll updates right after typing this just in case it was already mentioned)

The token being visible to the GM and specific players is not part of the rugged reroll (that I'm aware of) but make a suggestion thread in this forum if it hasn't been done or it's closed. The more a feature is talked about aka posted the more likely the devs will look at it and see if it can be coded.
+1 Oh, coming in Rugged Reroll, sweet.
