"Relive the glory of King Arthur's court! Uphold chivalric ideals of courage, honesty, fair play, and justice. Undertake perilous quests and risk monstrous dangers in legendary Britain. Smite bloodthirsty giants and crush treacherous invaders for King Arthur and for glory. Armed and armored, you are the law of the land. Overcome ruthless enemies in life-and-death struggles to join the fellowship of the Round Table." (King Arthur Pendragon, 3rd Ed.) I am looking for 3-5 players interested in a Play-by-Post game of King Arthur Pendragon (slightly modified 1st ed. with Noble's Book). The game will most likely be played in German (unless there are just no German speaking players out there - then we might switch to English instead). The game will be semi- Sandbox style and players should be willing and able to come up with their own goals for the characters to achieve. Players should also be prepared to commit for 1-2 posts per week and notify the gamemaster of any prolonged absence in advance. Combats as well as mass-battle's will be handled by the GM, players can give directions in advance. Characters will be created using the "Random method" - rolling most of the stats with some points to spend on skills and the possibility of some years of previous experience. All characters will be knights - but that might change later in the campaign. Interested players can pm me or ask questions in this thread. Here are my answers to the questions in the "Same Page Tool" ( https://bankuei.wordpress.com/2010/03/27/the-same-... ) for this campaign: Same Page Tool – Checklist Do you play to win? b) Good play isn’t a win/lose kind of thing Player characters are: b) expected to work together; but major conflicts might erupt but you’ll patch them up given some time The GM’s role is: c) The GM has no plan – the GM simply plays the NPCs and has them act or react based on their motivations The players’ roles are… b) …to set goals for their characters, and pursue them proactively Doing the smartest thing for your character’s survival… c) …isn’t even a concern or focus for this game. The GM’s role to the rules is… a) …follow them, come what may. (including following house rules) After many sessions of play, during one session, a player decides to have her character side with an enemy. This is… e) …a meaningful moment, powerful and an example of excellent play. (possibly...) A fistfight breaks out in a bar! The details of where everything is – tables, chairs, where everyone is standing is something that… b) …is something the GM will describe and you should ask questions to get more information. In order to really have fun with this game, the rulebook is something that… d) …everyone at least should know the basics of the rules. e) …everyone at least should know the genre the game pulls from This game runs best when the players take time to create characters that are… none of the options apply
