NEW PLAYERS, BEGIN HERE: Character Creation, Advancement, Activity, and Inactivity

michael v. said: I just created a character Azreal Surezal. I have one question then it is pending DM approval. For his weapons he is using the chains is was once enslaved with.  I am using the stats for Sickle since that is what it says to do in PHB for monk class if you use unique weapons to your monastery.  Is this ok? If you want me to change title to spiked chains or switch something let me know, but I don't think it is anything to crazy. After that question is solved the character is ready to be approved and added to my folder I looked at your sheet. looks good but you still need to add your background info, a backstory, and photo of your character, and your proficiencies and languages. besides that it looks good.

On the Core tab of your character sheet, after turning on the Edit, you will see a place under spells for ability modifier. If you select the correct ability, it will automatically add your modifier to the spell attacks and DCs.

The rules for multi-classing begin on page 163 of the PHB. There are no variants multi-classing and you do not get everything that you would normally get from a class when you multi-class. You have to refer to the tables in that section to see what you actually do get as it is very limited in 5e. H i t P o i n t s a n d H i t D i c e You gain the hit points from your new class as described for levels after 1st. You gain the 1st-level hit points for a class only when you are a 1st-level character. You add together the Hit Dice granted by all your classes to form your p ool o f Hit Dice. If the Hit Dice are the same die type, you can simply p ool them together. For example, both the fighter and the paladin have a d 10, so if you are a paladin 5/fighter 5, you have ten d 10 Hit Dice. If your classes give you Hit Dice o f different types, keep track o f them separately. If you are a paladin 5/cleric 5, for example, you have five d 10 Hit Dice and five d8 Hit Dice.

I assume we are allowing the Ghostwise Haflings on page 110 in SCAG, since we are allowing deep gnomes. Is that correct?
Yes, they are available. Anything in the SCAG is excepted.
