Not much to say about it. a link to the game page: Wineport 1743 I'm looking for players, preferably 3-5 but. Time can be discussed, I my self is at GMT+2 If don't feel like clicking the link, here is the text: This is a rules lite – New world (Pre independence war) lite horror Mystery game. It is inspired by games as World of Darkness, Call of Cthulhu (especially Cthulhu Dark) and a bit of deadlands. ### Back-story: 3rd November 1742 – York, England You have reacted to an article in the York newspapers; A gentleman named Charles Miriár is someone, man or woman, willing to travel and settle in the Americas, as his representatives and contacts in the new world, all expenses paid. According to the article, he hopes to establish trade there, but no deeper explanation is given. Arriving at the address described in the article you find that you are far from the only ones hoping for the job. A line of more than two hundred people has formed, and it is only getting longer by the hour. Over the day many people goes into the building, and all seem to leave again. Some even abandon their spot in the line. Luckily, you don’t have to, as a boy comes by and sells you some pies, at a steep price of course! Even though you arrived early morning, it is past midnight before you enter the building, here an old gentleman, apparently a secretary starts asking you questions and taking notes on what looks like a form. The questions varies from all sorts of things such as child hood memories and current occupation, and even your opinion on the color blue? After asking more than a hundred questions, some personal and some more weird that personal, the secretary leaves the room for a few minutes, when he comes back he guides you into another, far more luxurious room, here you are offered a drink of your choice and a seat. You notes other people are here as well! After some time an elder gentleman you have not seen before enters the room, he presents himself as Charles Miriár owner of C. M. Salts and Soaps Co. a chain of common goods and hygiene products known I most of England. He tells you that you all fit the profiles he is looking for, even if you may not see it yourself. He wishes to employ you, there is but one thing. He is not interested in using you in a common goods shop, all though that will be your official cover. No he need you to contact a friend of his when you arrive to Americas, a librarian by the name of Holm Fletcher, Apparently Holm has gone silent over the last months, something that has for some reason worried Charles. You need to locate him and send back information on his were about. He informs you that a boat will leave for the town of Wineport – Americas in early March – if you wish to take the job, all you need to do is show up and present your name. When you arrive at the docks on the 6th of March, you find his words to be true, a huge cargo ship is ready to sail at the port, and you quickly get on board. Apparently you all share cabins, but it is on no issue, as they are big and roomy, beds enough and chests for your personal belongings. Charles have had a lot of items brought to you, here among some simple tools, weapons and a description of Holm Fletcher. He also gives you a stack of more than 100 letters, dating back to November 1738. Some pages seems to be missing here and there, and some pages has been torn apart or have parts blurred out. The journey over the North Atlantic is longer than expected, and you do not arrive at Wineport before 17th of May 1743. This is where your new lives begins, but first, you have a man to find! ### Rules: Anyone can sign up, please write here or PM me. Game will start when there are enough players (3 at least) Characters needs only an occupation/profession and a name. A description of the character is highly recommended but not required. There are only two rolls and both can be done in two ways. Unskilled rolls (1d8) and Profession rolls (best of 1d8 & 1d10) Both rolls can be taken as a Risk roll, a risk roll adds 1d12 to the pool, but a result bellow 4 on the d12 will increase your Risks failed. A roll of < 4 does not mean that you fail your action, but that some minor thing goes wrong, maybe you cut your finger leaving a drop of blood, or you tip over a jar of ink, obscuring some text that might help you later. If any no die end up higher than 2 on any roll (not just risk rolls) an accident happens, what happened depends on the action and the Risks failed pool. 0 & 1 Risks failed: the accident is minor and won’t harm anyone more than a light strain or small burn. 2 - 4 someone might get an injury or an important tool is lost or destroyed, but nothing that will stop him or her in the adventure. 5 and above things starts to get serious everything from serious injury to death and worse can happen here.
