
Just over a century and a half ago, the mighty red dragon known as Kanathrax the Vile was slain by a fellowship of mighty heroes from the Wanderlust Legion, the single largest adventuring guild on the face of Turann. Since that time, the land has enjoyed relative peace. In recent years, however, the people’s unsure grasp on this rare time of tranquility has begun to falter, and whispers are now floating about of terrible things just around the corner. In Westmark, the centuries-old conflict between the Mathuin and the Westling humans has begun to boil again, as the mighty leader of the bear folk, Keth the Mammoth-Slayer, has been slain with a poisioned blade. Though his life was extended beyond the natural limits of the Mathuin, Keth’s murder has thrown their people into serious disarray, as the tribes quarrel over who should be the one to replace their Paragon, while some prepare for war with the Westlings. In the Free Cities of Alnia, peace is unraveling as well. The Shining Tower, well known as the mages’ guild that regulates and legislates the practice of all forms of magic, has begun a massive quest to find magical artifacts all over the world. They claim this is to catalogue and protect these items, but many see their tactics as a shameless power grab. There are rumors that Ezral the Witch-King and his secret army of illegal mages are actively confounding the Tower’s quest, and promoting the free practice of magic in Ohma. You are a member of the famed Wanderlust Legion. The Legion's only goal is to unite people like you to go on fantastic quests and daring adventures, and they've been doing it for nearly two centuries. You've been with the Legion for a while, but for whatever reason, all of your previous groups have fallen apart. You are now returning to White City, the Legion's headquarters and the largest Free City of Alnia, after completing your latest adventure, and you have the inexplicable feeling that something very important is about to happen. <<OOC INFORMATION>> The Wanderlust Legion is a weekly Savage Worlds game set in a homebrew fantasy world played on Sunday nights at roughly 7:00 PM CDT. You will require the Savage Worlds: Deluxe Edition and the Savage Worlds: Fantasy Companion in order to build a character. We will hold session 0 this upcoming Sunday, so don't worry about building a character. Just think of some concepts, talk with me about fitting them into the world, and be prepared to have fun! All players must be able to handle these topics in a mature way. I.e, if sexual violence comes up and the player devolves into asinine, 4th-grade level rape jokes, the player will be kicked. Adversely, if a racist NPC makes it known his racism and the player flies into a slobbering rage over how racist I or other players are in real life, the player will be kicked.
