Custom made tokens

Greetings, I am a GM with a Pathfinder group. I love using Roll20 and it works great for my group. However, Sometimes I can't find the correct token I am looking for in the Library, so I make my own. When I upload the custom tokens to Roll20, the tokens still have a white edge around them as if I copy and pasted them from the web. Is there anyway to eliminate this white edge?

How are you making the tokens? Are you creating them as PNGs with transparent backgrounds? That's honestly the best way. If you're making them as JPGs or GIFs (though GIFs can have transparent backgrounds too, but PNGs usually look better), then you're going to be stuck with a white background. I've been using RPTools TokenTool program to make mine. It's free and really, really easy to use. It would give you the transparent background that you're looking for without a lot of fuss. It certainly depends what program you use to make tokens and the format you use to save them. In GIF or PNG-8 a pixel can be transparent or not, whilst in PNG-24 there can be a level of transparency. So, you are probably going to have harsh borders or white pixels if you use a yes/no transparency format. If you use Photoshop, you can get rid of those annoying white pixels (Layer>Matting>Defringe). If you can't get your hands on a copy of photoshop, check out GIMP. It's free and preforms a lot of the same functions.
