One Shot support or set up.

Hello, I tonight I was scheduled to play a game, and due to forces outside of the GMs control he was unable to run. In this situation I would like to be able to either easily run or join a one-shot for tonight. I wish there was either a subforum dedicated to finding and setting up such a game or part of the game finder where you could go and look at games looking for players to start the same day without recurring commitment. Maybe a little countdown clock to hopeful start time so that you could guage if you could easily jump in on it. I'd love to be able to set up a one shot for a system, have someplace where people can pick up a quick game with low commitment, and get it running and chugging along in short order. I feal like it takes days of work to get a game wrangled together usually, if there was a way to see what's starting soon that would be so much easier.
